Remarks

Good: Really nice campus, situated in a peaceful location. So, the atmosphere and climate are really good. Although it is hot in summer but we are at home during those times enjoying our vacations. Winters are good. College management is good. Needed improvement when I was in the college: Hostel food quality needed improvement during my time. Not sure how it is now.

Entrance Preview

Maharashtra state level Higher Secondary Exams. I scored 69.5 in PCM and I opted for this college based on its reputation of being a good educational institute. The college campus is really huge and beautiful.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The college comes under Pune university and the course curriculum is really good. Quality education is imparted without a lot of stress. The curriculum is well paced and the subjects are introduced at the right time during the course of 4 years.

Internships Opportunities

My experience studying in this college and staying in the hostel was really good. I learnt a lot of things not only about education but also about life in general. The four years I spent in this college would always remain as the most beautiful time in my life. There were very few companies that came for campus and there was not stipend or internship.

Placement Experience

2

There were very few companies that came for campus selection, so the job opportunities from campus was limited during my time. I am not sure about the present, hopefully it would have improved with so many Alumni being really experienced in the IT industry.

College Events

2

The most celebrated events in the college were the Annual day for the entire college and the Fresher's party for the newcomers. They were organised in the college campus itself. Our college has a big auditorium so we didn't have to go out anywhere else.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I was under payment seat and for me the fee structure seemed expensive, however, if someone is under free seat then it was pretty less. Not sure about the recent fee structure. Better to check with the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship was offered to people who scored really good marks and who needed monetary help for their education. Please get more details from the college as there might have been some changes in the recent years.

Campus Life

2.5

Campus life is great. I really enjoyed being part of the college and the hostel. There are some extracurricular activities like Cricket, running, kho kho, basket ball, football etc. There is no gender discrimination or any race religion discrimination. Students come from all over India to get education and all live together in harmony.I am not sure about robotics as this is a recent phenomenon and my college might have some facilities now. Good to check with them.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Hostel facilities are good. Rooms are decent enough with 3 people sharing a room. You get one single bed and a table and chair for each person. You get a storage place for each person. There is enough ventilation, fan, tube lights and plug points. Hot water is available by Solar heaters. Toilets and bathrooms are clean and well maintained.Mess food is average, although I found it difficult to survive. Later on I joined private mess outside the hostel or had food at the dhabas which served really good food.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes there is alumni network that keep meeting annually. This year too there is an alumni meeting scheduled for 26th Dec 2015. The college students and teacher are doing a really good job arranging for the alumni meet.

Exam Structure

The exams are well paced, every six months being one semester (board exams). We used to get approximately 3 to 4 weeks of Preparatory leave, so it wasn't very hectic. Although for some subjects it did seem hectic.

Faculty

2.5

Faculty of the college is good. Some of them are really experienced and have a wonderful way of teaching. They make you feel at home even when most of the students are away from home in hostel. Some are new and inexperienced and their way of teaching needs improvement.

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.
