Remarks
I had a few choices for my desired course and Roorkee was closer to my place than Kharagpur. These were the only 2 choices I had with the rank I had. Food facilities were better in Roorkee and so was the weather which is important. Also, hostel facilities seemed better and also the surroundings of the college are better for Roorkee than kgp and so are more tourist places near.
Course Curriculum Overview
Some faculties are good some not and some weird but overall it doesn’t matter in the end you have to work yourself. The course syllabus is I believe sufficiently advanced. No industrial exposure or other exposure yet. Some faculties inspire you to study others don’t care.
College Events
Thomso is the largest cultural fest in Asia( as many hours by my knowledge) cognizance is also there but couldn’t occur becoz of corona. Sangram is a sports fest but couldn’t attend it. I only enjoyed them didn’t take part in the team.
Fees and Financial Aid
All integrated (physics mathematics and chemistry) subjects get scholarships from college for availing the course and bypassing certain criteria. 5000 per month I am currently entailed to it but have not received it yet.
Campus Life
Beautiful campus lush greenery huge sports facilities for almost all sports WiFi works well in the library have LAN for Roon equipment is old library is Huge and perfect. A huge amount of books on every subject.
Hostel Facilities
First-year hostels are ok for living better not spend much time in there. I was in a double room sufficiently big to live and sleep maybe a small party:)hostel is necessary for everyone. Enough number of hostel rooms. Have 24 hours of canteen service.
