Shrey Agarwaal's Review On Techno India University, Kolkata

I had chosen this college because many events and fests are organised at our college. EDGE named technical fest is organised, and it offers the highest prize money after IIT Kharagpur and MSIT in west Bengal. Students from various colleges come to take part in it, and it is a glorious 3 days event. About 2 stars are invited to perform in the edge night and a band. The cultural fest named Anakhronos is also organised, which is an incredible and 2 days fest with 2 stars performing on 2 nights. The college also organises a fashion show and singing competitions, etc.

The course curriculum is outdated. Teachers are helpful and qualified. They give their best when they teach. Except for 1 or 2 teachers teaching styles are boring, and some teachers are too much strict. They are not very good, but some have good knowledge. Some teachers are really poor at explaining students. The course syllabus is under MAKAUT University as this is a B grade college, so it doesn't have its own syllabus. CSE is a good stream we get to understand semiconductors along with algorithm, and microprocessors which helps us to understand today technology. We can understand whats going on in this world through this course.

Almost 80-85% of the students were placed in our year of pass out. The highest salary package offered was 12 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 6 LPA. Infosys, TCS, Wipro are some of the favourites of this college. Even many other companies recruit from this college. Most of the students after the second year got internships that are well paid.

The college provides Jio Wi-Fi for only 30 MB for 1 day, which is equivalent to no Wi-Fi. The college does not provide a hostel facility. Students have to look for themselves in PGs or flats. Labs and classrooms are satisfactory, and it contains all the necessary equipment and good facilities. The infrastructure of our college is average, and not like one of the best colleges. It consists of 3 buildings, but 2 building belongs to techno college and one to the techno university. However, both lie on the same premises. One of the college building is 8 floors high and still in construction, and one is just 2 floors, which is known as the old building.

It has one of the big infrastructures among the other colleges in Kolkata. It has a very well maintained library that provides you with various kinds of good books needed for your course. I was not a hosteller. I could not say about it, but it has a very good canteen that provides you with hygienic and low-cost food.
