I like civil engineering so I have chosen it. The best thing in my coarse is that it is directly related with site works. I would like to highlight that campus is student friendly. There is no such thing as ragging in Jamia.
Course Curriculum Overview
Teachers of our college are helpful and well qualified. They have a good background and are very knowledgeable and confident in teaching the subject. Some teachers are from IITs and were gold medalist from the colleges. The course curriculum is very much relevant to our field, and it makes students ready for the industry.
Placement Experience
Placements at Jamia are average, but as compared to other engineering colleges, it is good. Major recruiting companies in the civil branch are L&T, JK Birla, etc. Last year 50% of the student got placed with the help of the college. The average salary offered was around Rs. 30,000 per month. Most of the job profile offered was an associate engineer.
College Events
Each department has conducts its own fest. Department of Civil engineering has ASCE society which organises fests annually. Jamia Millia Islamia has many fests and annual functions to let each weak student become zealous and to resonate with the frequency of all-time party mode students.
Campus Life
In terms of infrastructure jamia is quite good. We have a fully Wi-Fi enabled campus, you can access Wi-Fi from anywhere in the campus. Classrooms in jamia are quite spacious and clean. The Labs have all facilities regarding all engineering disciplines. Our library is very huge and does contains numerous books on different engineering and non-engineering disciplines. Hostel in jamia are something for which you have to try very hard to get one. Students are shortlisted based on merit in class 12th to give away the hostels.
