Remarks
PEC is a well reputed college. It is internationally organised college. Far much better than colleges in nearby cities that require Jee main as qualification. Better than Thapar in terms of package per student. Has less fees. It is located in a safe and clean city like Chandigarh that adds to it's benefits.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course and curriculun are well structured. The students are not burdened unnecessarily. 75% attendance is compulsory. You can manage all your work with the studies. Industrial visits are also a part of the curriculum giving industrial exposure which counts a lot in today's competitive world. Labs are conducted every week. Regular quizzes are conducted keeping a student in touch with the academics. Unlike other colleges there are only two exams per semester, thus not burdening a student. Teachers are nice and friendly.
Placement Experience
There are many companies who visit PEC for campus selections such as DEUTSCHE BANK, ABB, GEMINI, NAVYUG, ABSOLUT DATA, GMR NBC BEARING, GODREJ, ACCENTURE, GOLDMAN SACHS, GRAIL RESEARCH, ADOBE, ALSTOM, PROJECTS, PHILIPS, HAVELLS INDIA, ARICENT, HERO MOTOCORP LTD, ASHOK LEYLAND, ATLAS COPCO, ATRENTA, HYUNDAI, BHEL, SAP LAB, SAPIENT, INFOSYS, SIEMENS LTD, SNAPDEAL, J lOHN DEERE, COMPRO TECH, CVENT. The selection process is well executed.
College Events
PECFEST is organised every year. It is a great Cultural and Technical fest. Many competitions are organised. The fest are lively. Every society and club have their own events (minimum 3). We also have star nights and EDM nights. The footfall has been increasing over the years.
Campus Life
Hotels are old but comfortable. New Sports Facilities have been provided to the students. The college also has a gym. The college has it's own athletic, Cricket and Football ground. There are two tennis courts. There is a swimming pool. The college has seperate small playing ground in every hostel. Classrooms are big and spacious. Seperate rooms for tutorial classes are there. Every society and club has been provided with their personal rooms. Library is well constructed. PEC market is available. Atm banks, food shops, stationary shops all make up PEC market. Students do not go out searching for food or no need to leave the campus for withdrawing money.
