Harsh Gupta's Review On Netaji Subhas University Of Technology - [NSUT], New Delhi

Honestly I never knew about this university, but through JAC Delhi i got a better branch in NSUT than I was getting in DTU so i had to take it. I am studying in Mechanical Engineering so it's not very bad. I researched a little bit and came to know that it was closer to home than DTU, plus i had a chance to get a room in hostels. College is in walking distance from metro and the locality i.e. Dwarka is very good. Lots of malls and restaurants plus metro so you can go anywhere anytime. That's what made my decision final.

It depends on your branch. NSUT is known for its Coding based branches so if you are in a branch which promotes coding, you're set. So for CSE to MAC to ECE, you're settled since course, academics and faculties are too good. But for newer branches, (4 yr old ME) teachers do not know much plus the labs are not very much developed. Sometimes there are some experiments whose apparatus is not there. So there is a lot of work you have to do on your own.

I opted for internship outside the campus. Because internships are for students who are in 3rd year of their college.

Very good for computer branches. All companies are generally open for all the branches except for ME MPAE since these are more of core branches. CSE branch highest package goes as high as 60 lacs per annum. ME is not good but not very bad either. Other branches also have good placement Opportunities.

Not the best, but very good. I had Fresher's party which was huge and you are free to participate, senior cooperation is very good as well. Then there is Cultural and Tech fest which is too good again, intercollege participation and interbranches too. Biggest fest is MOKSHA but it was cancelled due to Corona pandemic. All in all I'll say, it's very good if you have a good friends circle.

Yes there are scholarships by Delhi govt on the basis of their minority, economic conditions and on the basis for merit. If you are SC/ST student, you have good scholarships for you. If your family income is less than 4 lakhs, you get a scholarship of 50% on some fee. If it is below 8 lakhs, you get 25% of the fee. But if you have NFSS card with you, 100% of the fee is given as scholarship.

Full wifi campus, sports facilities are very well, equipments are very much available unless lots of classes have their free time. Gym is small but is doable. Gym is quite short on equipments but generally it is workable too. Equipment in labs is not bad but still they've become somewhat rusty.

I haven't but as i know, they are worst. Single rooms are very small which is just enough for bed, cupboard, table-chair and only a few things more. There are double seater rooms as well. For girls, there are three seater rooms only(AC and non AC both). No AC rooms for boys. Mess food as I've heard shit. I've seen it and didn't like it either. But still life in a hostel is too good. You can acquire guest rooms for a month or so for just a little more money than a normal hosteller. I'll definitely apply for a hostel next year :).
