Vishal's Review On Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute Of Technology - [SVNIT], Surat

The college was overall good but every college should work on social behavior of students and their moral responsibility about their nation.

I cracked GATE (Mechanical) exam i chose SVNIT because here the mechanical department is one of the oldest in the country and having good infrastructure.

Here the curriculum was decided by college only. since the college was deemed university the curriculum was well revised and practical oriented. College have sufficient lab facility so they can offer good practical experience for every student.

College have good reputation in industries within the gujarat state college use its brand name for students best. Mostly L&T, Birala Cellulose, Essar steel etc will offer stipend amount 5000 to 8000 Rs/month.

Campus was not so good mostly software companies were come and the students from other than IT and computer branch have to give interview for only to have job for future risk. The average annual offering for B-tech student was 300000/Rs. And there is no single company will allow for M-tech and PhD students.

Sparsh is the annual techno-cultural festival of sardar vallabhbhai national Institute of technology. It usually takes place in the second or third week of february, and is one of the largest of its kind in the western Region. This five-day festival consists of mega-attractions as well as informal, technical & managerial events among numerous other competitions.

Their is no such facility as per my knowledge most students took loans from banks some may not took admission because of high admission fees and hostel fees.

Overall the facilities are good like gym, ground, labs gender ratio is 800 girls for 300 boys the student came here are from economically stable families.

Hostel facility was great but the amount charges are so expensive for common people and especially for Ph.D students the mess are so bad.

I am fortunate to have both our elders and younger alumni supporting me - elders with their valuable experience and youth with their exuberant enthusiasm. The first step was to build strong online presence across all social media platforms including FB, Twitter.

Exams and labs are frequently conducted its so much boring and teachers do not conduct labs they expect more than they served.

All faculty had Ph.D degree and well knowledge of their field they used interactive learning tools and presentation slide show to better understand the concepts and frequent site observation in industry also made by department.
