PGDAV College or Pannalal Girdharlal Dayanand Anglo-Vedic College is one of the Prestigious colleges of the University of Delhi. The college was Established in 1957 by the DAV College Managing Society. The college is located in New Delhi and is a constituent college of South Campus of the University of Delhi. PGDAV college offers several courses at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level

Course Curriculum Overview

Very good quality of teaching and the infrastructure is just improving. There are new buildings coming up in the campus. The auditorium is very good. The canteen is one of the biggest in delhi university. Teachers are very nice and supportive. Library is well equipped. The placement cell is working extremely well since last few years. Companies such as Ey, Aon and RBS come regularly and hire a large number of students. The location of college is very good. College is located in nehru nagar, which is near Lajpat nagar. There are a lot of good places to hang out after classes such as garden of five senses, lajpat nagar, sarojini market, ina delhi haat, south extension, greater kailash etc. the college is also very accessible to people who live in south delhi, noida and gurgaon. The connection of buses and public transport across the outer ring road is amazing.

No I didn’t go for the internship because I was preparing for the mba college.

Well known firms came for the placement campus like kpmg delloite e&y pwc amazon paytm and much more and also so much students got higher package and i dont go for placement campus because i want to do mba after graduation so i dnt go for placement campus but well known companies came for placement campus

Best College of Delhi University in term faculty of Political Science Dept, Regular Lectures, Du's Biggest canteen, Seminars and New Auditorium overall ill give 5/5 Here in this college i enjoyed a lot Even i have contested for elections in college union as well as Dept From here i take Best college memories Thanks PGDAV Family, SAMVAAD Society, Professors and supporting staff

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes the Delhi University offers the scholarship for the student from the category of SC and st student which who are not capable to pay there fees and can get opportunities to study. The college also provide scholarships to those student good in academic and sports quota.

Campus Life

This college has many facilities that favour students and has very big ground usually cricket and football matches are played here.Connectivity with metro is underconstruction and has one main gate and another gate in front its easily seen from road.Nehru nagar bus stand is nearly 20 steps from here.

Hostel Facilities

No there are no hostel facilities for my college. As I am a Delhi University student if you need hostel you can try for another college like srcc Now a days there are many pg available for students near the college. It is easy to get pg for rs 6k near along with one partner sharing room

Shyam lal college not on my wishlist

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Dyal Singh College: The Good, The Bad and The Confusing

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.

I was given this college on the basis of the score in the CUET Exam which i gave after my 12th. It was a tough exam i would say because compiting with 20 Lac plus students for just a seat in DU is not an easy task. While preparing the prefference sheet and combinations for the college in the admission process was a confusing task. So i select all the cobinations of courses and colleges which i was eligible and then i also select my course and college, but i never thought that i would get it, still though i was happy that i get to study in one of the DU college. St Stephens obviously as for Science, its one of the best DU college.
