Remarks

This college is well reputated in terms of teaching and the brand. It is very difficult to get chance in this college due to demand of high marks. This college is also near to my residence so I can easily manage with my schedule.

Course Curriculum Overview

The teaching faculty of our college is very good as students can easily understand the topics taught. We have our own library and a computer lab and there we can get assistance from our teachers. Our course has a good demand currently in the market as accountant is needed in every sector of an economy.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 6000 per year

Placement Experience

We have two shifts in our college but we still don’t have any placement cell mentioned in the website. Since I’m a second year student, I have a very little to negligible knowledge about placement cell in our college or the average package offered or the companies coming up.

College Events

Our college participated in many cultural programmes. They gives a freshers party to all the upcoming students every year. Our college conducts certain programmes for the students to make them understand about the current scenario of our course and its opportunities. Farewell is also given to the passing out batches.

Campus Life

Our college has a main building and a big campus consisting of a common room and a sports room. Wi-fi is enabled in entire college campus with free access for all. College canteen is also there with good quality of food at an affordable rates.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

INSIGHTS OF GCCBA

Goenka college of commerce and business administration is the second best college in Kolkata and the best college under Calcutta University. Hence it has a brand value. I got admission offers in SXUK, Jaipuria THK Jain and Bhawanipur college, But this was the best option I had. The admission process is through your boards marks. Proud to be Goenkan

I got admission in Aliah University which is in New Town Kolkata I got rank 12. I applied in Shri Shikshathan College also and got admission in first list. I rejected both the colleges as Aliah University though it is a reputed college but the placement committee is not as good as Goenka College of commerce. I applied for BBA + MBA integrated program in Aliah University but I wanted to pursue BCom honours in accountancy and finance thus I rejected Aliah University. Shri shikshayatan college on the other hand is another reputed college in which I applied for bcom honours in accountancy and finance I rejected Shri shikshayatan college as no doubt Goenka College is way more better than Shree shikshayatan and Shri shikshayatan is comparatively very much expensive in comparison with goenka. Shri shikshayatan takes around 250000 tuition fee on the other hand Goenka College charges only 4090 rs for 4 years....Read More
