Remarks

University of Delhi is the one of the most prestigious Universities of India. In terms of education, fee, infrastructure, placements it is best in the country for commerce students. There is a huge diversity of students coming from different parts of the country. Satyawati college is very near to north campus, so one can enjoy north campus life. Also, the commerce department of Satyawati college is also better then some other colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview

In all commerce department of my college is pretty good as compared to arts department. Teachers are updated and regular. The ratio of teacher to student is also good. There are many teachers who are CA or from prestigious colleges like SRCC. They also give assignments and test on regular basis. We go to one industrial trip once in an year so there is not much industrial exposure.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 21000 per year

Internships Opportunities

I got an internship in Bookmypg. Profile was Digital marketing intern. Stipend was 5000 pm.

Placement Experience

The companies visiting the college are mostly startups offering 15000-20000 salary. There were few big companies like amazon, byjus, kpmg that visited college but for pool placements(students from different colleges are selected for futher interviews). Most of the companies offer profile related to sales and marketing. Networking of my college is not that great.

College Events

There are several societies of college like drama, film, corporate society(commerce society, saksham(placement society), art and culture society, debating society in Satyawati College. Every year they conduct several events like Blitz(corporate's fest), e-summits, placement drives, art and cultural fest, seminars etc. So in all the campus is pretty good and hundreds of students come from differents colleges of DU to participate in the events.

Campus Life

Satyawati College has 2 buildings. One for commerce department and the other for arts courses. Infrastructure of the colleges is ok. It only has basic facilities like small library, chair table, slow wifi. I would rate 6 out of 10 in terms of infrastructure because washroom and classes are not maintained on daily basis.

Shyam lal college not on my wishlist

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Dyal Singh College: The Good, The Bad and The Confusing

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.

Overall, it is a good college.

Before Satyawati College, I applied to various other colleges of Delhi University according to the eligibility. Eligibility criteria of the admission was the marks that the students secured in class 12th. Most of the colleges' cutoffs were above 97 percent and my score was 93.8 percent. Satyawati College Review: what to expect

The admission process for DU happens through the CUET UG exam, followed by the CSAS where students fill out their college and course preferences. I had placed satywati college at the seventh position in my preference list and based on my CUET score and eligibility, I was allotted this college. while i had higher preferences, I couldn't make it to those due to high cutoffs in popular north campus colleges. however, Satyawati offered a decent academic environment and the course i wanted, so i confirmed my admission here....Read More
