Remarks
The college was located near to my house and was in the main campus of Delhi University. The infrastructure is quite good as compared to other colleges which i was getting during the admission process. Moreover the teachers a good and very regular in taking classes.
Course Curriculum Overview
The syllabus was up to date. The college plays very less role in deciding the syllabus. The University updates the syllabus regularly. With time new subjects and chapters are introduced according to the environment. I remember when GST bill was passed, within the next semester we had it in our syllabus. The faculty is well versed and proficient. One of my Favourite teachers were Mahesh Sir. He used to teach us Income tax. Loved to attend his lectures. We also had few industrial visits. One such was to the Delhi Stock Exchange organized by the college. Overall the faculty is quite good. They take the classes regularly and always try to keep up with the students.
Placement Experience
The placements at MLNC are pretty average. The placement cell is fully functional. Companies like KPMG and EY comes for campus placement for the commerce department. The package they offer is around 3.5L p.a. each of them hires around 15-20 students. If you need a good placement, it's much better to apply outside the campus thought these companies provide job security. You can also apply for the the main placement cell of DU. Few good companies do hire from there.
College Events
The campus life at MLNC is full of fun. There are multiple well known extracurricular societies like Electra - the dance society etc. The departmental societies are also very good which provide a very good exposure. All the major departments organize Thier own fests. The department of commerce's fest is one of the biggest departmental fest in DU. Though the cultural fest does lack a lot of things. You rarely find some good singers performing during the fest time due to various student union issues.
Campus Life
The campus infrastructure is very vast. Every department has it's own building. The labs for Bsc students is fully equipped. The new library is also very diverse. With new sitting area, it is one of the biggest library in south campus. You can visit the library and study there with complete peace. All the books, magazines, and newspapers are updated on a regular basis. All the major sports facilities from football to volleyball are available. There are separate courts for badminton and basketball and a very huge play ground for sports like football and cricket. There are multiple small gardens where you can sit and pass your time. They are also very neatly maintained. The canteen of MLNC is very big and serves very good quality of food. The price is average and you can have a good meal. It serves food like chapati and lentils which good for students staying in pg/flats. Samosas at MLNC are a must try!
