Remarks
I opted because I wanted to pursue a course in management which happens to be a professional course moreover the brand of Delhi University was the main factor which drove me to take up the course. For the college part, at my rank(750) i was offered this college only so i had no particular choice.
Course Curriculum Overview
I would say the curriculum is a bit outdated and too theoretical. My expectations from a professional course was some learning which could be used in practical life but it wasn't the way i expected. Rot learning still persists which leads to lesser understanding. Industrial exposure is a mandatory component as per the curriculum. Internship is compulsory for my course but this rule is not respected very well For my particular college most of the faculty members are dedicated but can't say the same for all. In particular Dr. Arnav Kumar and Mr. Prakhar are excellent professors of our department
Internships Opportunities
Yes I worked as an intern in yes fellowship programme where i received 10000 for 6weeks duration. It was a learning experience.we were placed in the ngos and provided various daily tasks.
Placement Experience
This year Deloitte, KPMG, Wipro, HDFC bank and ICICI bank were the top recruiting companies. Companies like indigo and Genpact also came for placements. Average package is of 3 lakhs and the range of the package is 2 lakhs to 5 lakhs. Job roles were mainly financial analyst, sales officer, operations manager etc.
College Events
I won't say it was as such a campus. But my college is located in the prime area of delhi so a lot of places are accessible for hanging out. For the fests part it happens to be a huge event especially the cultural fest but since the recent times department fest have also started getting funds themselves making it a big event which hold the footfall of around 1000-1500 students.
Campus Life
Infrastructure is still in developing stage. There's a well maintained cricket field but it's mostly rented out. Auditorium is not that big. Wifi facility is not available. Library is neat and contains most of the books. Labs are very well developed but they are also often used for renting out.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is not available in our college. But a lot of students opt for PGs near the college. Flats are also available. I'm not really sure about the cost since I'm a resident of Delhi only and I didn't check it but few of my friends who opted for a flat pay around 10k a month per person.
