Remarks
The main reason behind to chose this uis due to their value based education which is provided by them. The campus is situated at Kerala where one also gets to see natural view of back waters. It is headed by Shri. Maata Amritanandamayi Devi (chancellor). The course which I have chosen is Electronics and Communication Engineering. There are lot of live projects one such is a HUT Lab (Humanitarian Labs), where u can develop your inner core knowledge and work on projects.It also gives you a chance ro publish papers in IEEE journals.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is mostly driven as a value based education. It also has tie up with many universities, meaning one can do his final project at abroad and also there are chances that he could get his MS converted too. Yes we were given industrial exposure.One such is Hut Lab which has all real time projects where one can devlop his skills. The faculties were so friendly and we can reach them during any point of time. One such professor is Dr.Rajesh Kannan, who runs the HUT Lab. He not only teaches courses but also spends his extra time with the students on live projects.
Placement Experience
The placement department is commonly known as CIR ( Corporate Industry and Relations) where you get enormous opportunities to companies based on our interest. They bring companies related to IT, Software, Business Analytics, Core related companies. Placement process is usually a three round process. First we have general aptitude, Next comes the technical and third is HR round. Business Analytics companies do conduct a GD round in between aptitude and technical. We do have an alumni network named as Amrita Alumni where u can connect with super seniors, and they also help us when required.
College Events
The campus life over there is very good. You get people from all states and hence you can take the campus is well diversed. The national tech fest held id Vidyut conducted every year, Where one can witness workshops, technical activities, fun etc. Also there is a 3 day event called as Amrita Kalotsavam which mainly deals with the cultural activities like singing, dancing, playing instruments etc.
