Remarks
During my JEE-Mains choice filling, The Institute stood 2nd among the other 31 NIT'S. I chose Electronics as my main stream because I am Interested that field. I chose SVNIT because it is college of National Importance.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course is a bit outdated. Not any cutting edge techlogies are taught in the curriculum. Academics are not bad but not up to the mark. Faculty always stick to the specified course obectives. Not any Industrial exposure is provided to the students. Faculty always care about syllabus completion and conducting exams.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, I made an Internship in the IT profile for the stipend of 25000. The duration of internship is one month.
Placement Experience
Placement opportunities are good in IT and Analytics profile. But core branch placements are not so good. Alumini realtionships with the institute is not bad. There are no good startup that arised by my batchmates.
College Events
Campus life is great with friends. But coming to events and extracurricular activities, college autorities cancels most of the events by saying some lame reasons. The annual fest name sparsh which was supposed to held in the month of march every year. But they cancelled the fest two years out of my four years in college.
Fees and Financial Aid
I get fee reimbursement of tuition fee by the central government because by family annual income is less than one lakh rupees. But I pay my hostel and mess fee of about 50000 a year. We can avail FFE scholarship outside the college with the reuired documentation by the college.
Campus Life
Infrastucture in terms of academics is very good. Wifi is provided almost all over the campus. Library is very big with very good ammount of books. The equipment in the labs is good with good functioning. The sports facilities are not good. The college authorities claim to have ground but no ground is there to conduct good sport activities.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel rooms are good with good amount of seats. The facilities like wifi, indoor game rooms are there. For the 3rd and final year students single rooms are provided. Hostel with mess is provided with a fee of about 50000 a year.
