Tamanna Batra's Review On Ramdeobaba University - [RBU], Nagpur

There wont be any bad remarks from my end as I never experience any sort of problems from the management while in college. Although i would say the college uniform which is compulsory in first year should be banned,seriously.

I took AIEEE score 148 reason for choosing RCOEM It is the 2nd best college in Nagpur after VNIT with a great percentage of placements and the best crowd one could ever see. Since I wanted to stay in Nagpur for my college,RCOEM was the best option I could get and as if the universe wanted it I got good grads a good placement and great friends all thanks to RCOEM.

The course was quite simple and easy to follow. We had timely tests to keep a check on our own progress and also the faculty was supportive enough to give us feedback on how we can improve and work on our weaknesses. Even if due to any reason a student missed his tests they had an option of re-test at the end of semester which was very appreciated.

The CS-IT branches are offered projects from various companies based on an interview and the CGPA but as far as the non-IT branches are concerned they don't have any exposure to internships during college.

Apart from this many companies came to hire students from our college during my batch the average salary being 3-3.5 LPA whereas the highest went to 10 LPA. The placement percentage is quite excellent with many companies coming in for a mass placement drive.

Cultural Pratishruti the main college fest which attracted people from the entire city sports League for all branches various Branch Installations happening every year.

The fee structure is bit expensive as it seems to the outside world but once you take a look at the amenities in college and the exposure you feel that its all worth it. We had to pay close to a Lac for each year in college.

I have less information on this point as I never availed any scholarship while in college. There was a facility of student loan though and also some scholarship to girl students also but not quite sure about this one.

Excellent we had more number of boys as compared to girls, but the ratio was not that disproportionate. I think 40-60 would be the approximate number in each class. There were a lot of competitions,debates,robotics events which attracted students from all colleges across Nagpur. This was a very positive point of RCOEM.

I never got the chance to stay in the college hostel but as my friends always said the hostel was the most happening place on college. It was very secure and always lively. The food was okay-ish as every hostelite complained.

The alumni network is quite strong. Every year alumni meets are organised by the college which is attended by large number of seniors. The seniors are too supportive than one would expect which is again one of my favorite parts of college life.

The exam structure was very simple thus keeping the pressure and tension off of students minds. We had 2 sessionals in a semester and a final university exam the practical sessions were very interesting, although the exams came only twice a semester. We had external and internal practicals which were evaluate by internal and external invigilators respectively.

The faculty is very experienced almost all the professors have a work-ex of minimum 5 years. They ha their concepts crystal clear and were truly open to the queries of students at any hour of college. They were supportive in solving problems not only for studies but also for personal life problems. They guided us at every aspect of life and apart from all this also stood with us in extra curricular activities.
