Remarks

Department of metallurgy had good placement record in our college and metallurgist has less competition than any other fields. Any metallurgy is more interesting subject. The alumni bonding of college is very strong which helps for our carrier growth.

Course Curriculum Overview

Freedom to learn and do experimentation as your wish. Fee is very low and scholarship are provided by Government. Our college is blessed with some good staffs. Students are really motivated to do more extra-curricular activities.

Internships Opportunities

I have interned in ZF wind power company- Coimbatore. My project is for the period of 2 months. And our college reimbursemed the accommodation and traveling expenses.

Placement Experience

Our college students get placed in Wipro,TCS, Infosys, Zoho, Bharat forge(Pune), Titan, Jsw steels, sanmar. And our students had good record in Gate exams. And we have free placement training programs ( both for aptitude, technical and for GATE EXAMINATIONS).

Our college conducts various inter college events both technical and non-technical. And national level technical exhibitions are conducted in our college yearly. And our college gives equal importance to non technical events like music, dance etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

We have Tamil Nadu Government Engineering student's college scholarships. We have special scholarships for SC,ST and farmer's background students. Also you can apply for alumni scholarships with is up 20,000( for eligible students only). Teqip organization in our college gives reimbursement for academic activities of students

Campus Life

Green environment surrounded by yercaurd hills. Decent class rooms and lab but not advance. Has good library and wifi connections. The lab are quiet good but not up to the mark. Hostel are moderate. And rest rooms are well cleaned and maintained

Hostel Facilities

Hostels in our college are just ok. Not sophisticated. The rooms are good. The food is Ok. They charge 6000 per year and 1500 monthly for food. We play ground and hospital as well. The management is not so good when it comes to hostel. But overall you can manage.

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

Placement Experience:

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in their final year. Many reputed companies like accenture, TCS, zoho, HCL, etc. visited and many of my friends also got placed with a good package. The highest package from my batch was 50lpa in company called motorq. The average package is around 4lpa.

Placement Experience:

The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.

It's a good college for me.

Placement Experience:

From final year students and 3rd-year students eligible for attending the campus placements in this campus so many companies are there like Wipro, wheels India, so many IT companies in this average package starting as 18000 to 40000 students should have a minimum percentage of 6.80cgpa eligible for placement I completed the degree I got a placement on IT company.

I chose this college because I am a resident of this city Salem and wanted to be a day-scholar. This college is also NAAC accredited with A+ grade and also stands as the higest graded government engineering colleges in the whole state of Tamil Nadu. The transport facility for reaching this college is also easy for me as there is availability of college bus which goes around the city to pick up the students i.e. the dayscholars all around the city. I didn't get any rejection from any other college because I got this college in my first round of counselling itself and so did not go for any other options and was not rejected by any. In tamilnadu, government school may have some sort of issues in the parents' point of view. But their point of view to the government colleges is really high when compared to private colleges.
