Remarks

Good reputation in software program and got easy palacemet by companies but my time there is not more companies came only selected two or three and one reason is that it is also near by my home,and the placement cell didn't spend much money and not called companies to get job for students

There was good faculty only for 1st and second year students the math chemistry and physics faculty are good and only one Abhijit Ghose was a good faculty of software programming language java developer and just the below avg for all courses just for pass

Mostly the company came for tech support,voice support,chat support like bpo sectors non came for software testing or developing programme,some came for eventually not for selection purpose they came to only insure there presence because on there is too much criteria to fulfill for to sit for interviews.

Campus life was good entertaining and competitive attitude of student every students doing extraa courses for get placement, participated in college fest, music band or singer performers performed every year these are the phenomenal best years of life

Fees and Financial Aid

We got scholarships from national scholarship scheme by Nsp portals for minorities and obc /sc /St for development of backward caste and another schemes by state governments for backward caste in India through e Kalyan type of schemes

Campus Life

Campus infrastructure was good there is appropriate classes for all the students good ground size for than 5 building block big library facilities books always available, basketball ball court but not much active in sports.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

BCET Durgapur.Good campus but bad faculty and placement opportunities.

I say this earlier. First of all my JEE rank was little bit low, so I can't get any govt college. And at that time the CSE fees in almost every private college is arround 4 lakhs. But they asked high donation. Which was not affordable by my family. So I choose this college. Also I hear all private colleges are same.we have to do everything by ourselves. Faculties don't help us properly. And for admission you have to give WB JEE entrance exam. Other than that nothing. Also you can have a direct admission....Read More
