Remarks

Management is good and they support you for whatever things you can. It may be time consuming sometimes and stressful to follow the rules but trust me you are gonna be a tough individual after you are going to pass out

Course Curriculum Overview

4

If you are really enthusiastic about it you will not find any pressure. Exams are conducted every six months. We also have internal exams and practical exams. Every subject has it's own credit divided in theory and practical both. Being agricultural engineer you are exposed to various engineering subjects of traditional engineering and thus we are called hybrid engineers. My college usually don't have 100% placements but for people opting in agricultural machinery and farm power section may find a job. If you are planning for mtech degree I would suggest to go with any department where you share keen interest. We also have trainings after 4th and 6th semester for 1 month and 4 month training in 8th semester. You can always do your 8th semester training in a good industry so that you may get absorbed in same industry furthur.

Placement Experience

3

Placements are generally done in that people are absorbed in same company they worked in their semester 8 inplant training. We also have to attend 2 mandatory 1 month ling internships at different institutions may it be government training centers or any private institution, industry, organization or plant.

College Events

3.5

Youth festival is main event where students across university from all colleges visit and participate to win and go to next level. Various different games, dance, drama, one act plays are performed. College also have its annual ganesh festival celebration which is 5 day fest also known as techfest. Apart from this different seminars, workshops, technical sessions are scheduled to boost students attitude and work towards contributing in agriculture.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure for this government college is very cheap. If you are a female you don't need to oay tuition fees as well as hostel rent. You just pay other fees and for hostel you pay electric bill of 3000 for 6 months. It is around 10000-15000 year as per the revised schedule. I am not sure with the numbers but it is really very cheap and on affordable. Life in Akola would be the best part of your life.

Fees and Financial Aid

No I did not avail for scholarship or education loan. You don't really need any loan. About scholarship I don't have any fair idea because I dint get any.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life is very strict. Number of girls is less to that of boys. You can play many different sports and can also include any new event if not on list. Rest you are never judged or discriminated for belonging to any caste. You will find people of every religion, caste, race and sex. People are little narrow minded but you can just enjoy your own life. Entering campus during dark may he dangerous. I would advice to not visit campus after 7pm

Hostel Facilities

3

Yes I did live in hostel. Hostels are very clean and well maintained. Food is cooked by girls and the mess is cooperative one so the food quality is very good. If not hostel you can live in sahakarnagar area just near the university border. But I would suggest girls to live in hostel since it is really very good and inexpensive as well.

Alumni/Alumna

As soon as you enter the college start building your network,be polite and respect your seniors because they are only people who will help you not only in ylur degree life but also after that. They are just like your guardians their. Do not disrespect them for futile reasons. This bond is gonna help you in your life so much to lead a successful life.

Admission

I was always interested in engineering but coming from farmers community I wanted to contribute in agriculture. This course was perfect fit. When I was admitted our 12th score and other few factors were considered for cummulative marks. Marks of agricultural land holding, any vocational subject are also considered as an advantage.

Faculty

4

Faculty is quite strict and it is made compulsory to attend all the lectures. Make sure your attendance is more than 80% and not less than 60%. All of them are really helpful and are experienced for more than 10-12 years in respective fields with few having 20 years of experience as well. Practical sessions assist you in concept clearity and is more on individual partcipation.
