Course Curriculum Overview

All professors here in IIT Roorkee are supportive and guide us in to research such that we will be able to publish atleast one international research paper. There will be 98 percent of placement with Multi-National Companies. There is a tie-up with Indian Companies, Germany, and other European countries for doing internships. Best place to grow in different fields like sports along with the best education.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 60000 per year

Placement Experience

98 percentage of placements and I had got placement in PRDC(Power Research and Development Corporation Pvt. Ltd.) but after I resigned and joined RINL.

College Events

Tech Fest and many sports competitions will be held including a fashion show for the people who are interested in modeling. Also, the college will sponsor if we have good talent in the concerned area of sports, and certificates earned in that will be useful for placements.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Very Feasible which is to be paid in semester wise and for B Tech first year's theme will be shared room but after it will be a single room for each person. For M Tech it's a single room from the first year onwards with optimal price for the hostel. There will be 1 BHK flat for P.hd student's

Fees and Financial Aid

I had not availed as my scholarship for M. Tech was enough to pay my fees. But is easy to avail of SBI and Punjab National Bank education loans will be available.

Campus Life

There will be a separate gym, swimming pool for girls and boys for the safety of girls. And they provide special training for sports if we have interested. There are shuttle and tennis courts with a big cricket stadium and the total campus is 365 Acers of land.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are very good with sports room for indoor games and a place for garden and place for outdoor games like shuttle and tennies court. Separate canteen for all hostels and ladies hostels are also separate.

Admission

GATE Entrance Exam which will be conducted in the month of February followed by an interview for M. Tech. Library and infrastructure are excellent where we can shine with colours. For B. Tech's through JEE and for P. HD it's through interview. The process is very fair.

Faculty

Here professors are Doctorate and also some of them had done Post Doctorate which helps us to go in research direction and also gives students a good exposure into the industrial field. There will be an internship not only of Indian companies but also in other countries

Placement Experience:

from the final semester the students become eligible for placments. Various tier 1 companies visit the institute and offer campus placements range from crores to a six digit salary figure. The profiles generally offered are SDE, data analyst, data scientist, management role, consultant and mnay others. though the details of the placement remain confidential.

IIRS Dehradun, A Synopsis

Remarks:

For the higher studies in Remote Sensing & GIS, IIRS (ISRO) is the best institute in India. The personal preference would be Masters over the Diploma course since the Masters programme includes a 14 month project towards the end of the course, in which the researcher gets to work under the guidance of experienced scientists from ISRO. A drawback of the course would be that the syllabus is demanding and the exams are tightly scheduled.

Glimpse of 125 year old Technical Institute of India

Remarks:

As my previous experience was in Bridge Engineering , so on the basis of that IIT ROORKEE is best among others ,as it offers a course named as Masters in Structural Engineering with diversification in Bridge Engineering , which makes to choose this Institute specifically over others.Admission took place though multiple doors :- First is through GATE Score without any GD or PI or both Second one is through Sponsored Category like of mine Third one is through Quality Improvement Programme (QIP) For more information on admission you may refer to IIT ROORKEE PG Admission latest Information Brochure.I think it is not a Bad aspect of institute , but Institute must do certain reforms in it's admission process as till now IITR took admission directly on the basis of GATE SCORE for M.Tech / MURP courses which , but I will suggest that in future IIT ROORKEE must took admission for the same programme through GATE Score as well as GD or PI or Both , result of which it increase the opportunities of many relatively lower GATE scores candidates to took dream of doing their Masters from reputed IIT ROORKEE For Dates Tentatively application started from the month of April every year Last date to submit the application - last of April Results announced through COAP portal ( you need to separately register yourself on COAP portal to participate in the counselling process of all IIT's) in multiple rounds along with some Additional round & spot round I don't search or see any forum or websites or blog while selecting this college because in my previous company I made many visits to IIT ROORKEE by which I came to know many more about it automatically .

Remarks:

There are tons of extracurricular activities present here. From sports to arts, everything is here. There's nothing only for boys or girls, every event is equally arranged for active participation of all students. And I feel negativity about the study hrs which is almost 10 hrs.

The feeling of being in IIT Roorkee

I didnt applied for any other colleges other than some iits which were iit bombay, kanpur, roorkee, guwahati. Just these four and nothing because i got a decent rank in JEE Adv 2025. I took part in jossa councelling and got it . I was happy with any of seven old iits . In better way , i would be happy in going any top iit. IIT Roorkee - The complete story

I had 4 main options in hand after JEE - BSc Physics in IISC Bangalore (I had cleared KVPY), Electrical engineering in IIT Indore, EPH in IIT Roorkee, and Computer Science in Nit Trichy. I did not choose IISC, as I wasnt sure whether I wanted my career to be in research. My coaching faculties advised me not to take an NIT when I was getting a top 7 IIT. It was a tough choice choosing between EE in IITI, and EPH in IITR. However, at the end, I choose Roorkee because of its legacy, better facilities, and a calmer environment.
