Remarks

I have enjoyed my college life, it was totally different from the present status of the college. College management was so-so.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I have done the Bachelor of Arts with honours subject as Maths. Detailed course and continuous classes on daily basis. Examination on every year and finals took place in the last year. Teachers are very good and co-operative and they always ready to help out us.

Placement Experience

1.5

There was no placement in the college after doing graduation. Generally we start for competitive exams after completing graduation.

College Events

3

Annual sports took place every year and also cultural programmes. Students from different universities and colleges took part in the event and a good show of sports event and cultural events successfully completed every year. Every year college grant for the event and entire expenses was looked by college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure was very cheap we have paid 1000 to 1500 every year. Every year we have to pay fee by cash only, by no other medium fee will be accepted. For securing the admission, fee is to be paid before the class starts. There was a total transperancy in the fee breakdown, as the same was decided by government.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes college provide the scholarship opportunities but the same was available to ST/SC and women. Applying scholarship is easy, only a form to be submitted and average sum is for college fee, hostel fee and book expenses.

Campus Life

3

Do I have not enjoyed the campus life but was very good, accommodation was great. Accommodation was separate for boys and girls. Gender ratio was 4:1. Economic status of the students were very poor family background. There was no rationality on account of gender, race, religion etc.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I have not opted for the hostel. Hostel was available but the numbers are very less. Average rent of the hostel was Rs 150 to 200 per month In hostel only lodging facilities are available, fooding is to arranged by own.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network was not there in our college, however senior students those are in the college are helpful.

Admission

I got the admission in the college on the mark basis. Admission process was simple, as I have opted for BA Maths honours and there are very few students who opted for the same, due to that I got the admission in the first list. As I was not selected under the stream of BSc Maths honours, I opted for BA Maths.

Faculty

4.5

On daily basis two to three classes took place, how to which one class is for honour subject that is mathematics. Average age of the students was 18 to 25. The lectures given by the teachers was very clear and conceptual. Nexus contains the honours subjects and two other subsidiary subjects apart from the honours and subsidiary one more subject was there and that was English.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Initially, I chose English Honours because I thought it would be a very easy subject. However, once I took admission and started studying it, I realized how deep and theoretical it is. When I read about the poets, their life stories, and the era they lived in, I became deeply fascinated. My interest in the subject kept growing, and that is why I chose this field."My English and vocabulary have also become much stronger after taking English Honours. I am truly grateful for this."The existing teaching methodology was effective and satisfactory; therefore, no modifications were necessary."

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum can be related a fairly relevant and mandatory comprehensive. While it covers the fundamental concepts required for the subject there is still scope for including more practical, skill oriented and industry focused content. Updating the curriculum regularly with current trends and real world applications would make it even more effective and beneficial for student

I has a vision to study English from the very beginning. I wanted to study English since i was good at English and also the most important thing was me being an isce student upto class 12 which inculcated a strong English base in me English as a subject is very vast. As the world is heading towards modernisation English has become a very important thing. Gossner college has good English professors and also i heard a lot from most of my seniors that gossner college has best English faculty. The frequency of exam is 2 exams per semester where the portion tought in the syllabus is asked and it's not very easy and not very tough too

I chose this course because I wanted to be a teacher. English is a very common subject for everyone. Everyone understands English well. This course lets me gain knowledge about the English literature, different writings and also improves my writing skills. Exams are taken once in a semester.
