Remarks

Infrastructure has developed very beautifully over the course of last few years and faculty is just as beautiful and helpful I would consider my self as to be a lucky to be a alumni of such a good college

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

B.com honours is one of the best course option for a commerce students but it has a depth in study for different fields of commerce which I believe doesn't shortens your number of options for the future to major in. Education system in commerce is mostly book and practice driven and very less based on research and application driven projects. But if you practice well enough and learn to work around with basics and core of the subjects it would truly help you in becoming a good professional.

Placement Experience

4

Placement cell very good in our colleges big companies come to recruit students like KPMG, American express etc, internships aren't very forces on anyone it depends on a students wish and will if they want to do one based on commerce background which in my perspective is a very good thing.

College Events

4.5

Our college was filled with versatile people with different talents so which led to great clubs and societies in our college to take part in. Like Book club, fashion society, music society, dramatics club, physics society, commerce club and etc which would organize good event throughout the whole year and also get to celebrate a day dedicated to that club. Apart from this our college also used to organize good sport events once every for the different departments of the college to take part in and against each other to determine the winner in each sports every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is usually paid via Demand draft and its very very feasible the college has a department under the principals office dedicated to this where you can pay your fees like examination fees for each semester used to be about 2000rs which could usually be paid with cash in accounts department and the yearly fees was paid via check, demand draft etc. So paying fees and recieving the receipt for it would never be a hassle and The state Government college has a very feasible fees structure.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes there was scholarship provided to some students and the fees structure was low and helpful that I didn't require an education loan.

Campus Life

3.5

Very good our college would have sport events for every sport individually and then a particular whole day events for debate society, physics chemistry and biology societies. Labs are also well managed with equipments. Campus life is very fun and interactive as in societies people with different course come together for one interest and it increases the level of exposure for a student and help them make good friends as well as gender ratio is generally well balanced in our college.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes alumni network is good and alumni meet takes place every year and they are then called upon to explain their share of experience with the young students to help them motivate in working harder to get a successful job network

Admission

Admission is purely based on the marks in 12th grade if you belong to commerce background and caste benefits if any, then you get selected by certain colleges that you have applied for, so when you get a call letter via email you have apply for the courses after which you may get shortlisted in the online list of selected students for those courses. Dates may differ for different colleges but its usually in may-june.

Faculty

5

Well there are like 4/5 subjects lectures in B.com honours everyday and with core subject being mostly daily or with 1 day off only. The faculty in my college is usually in late 30-40's with a lot of experience and very in-depth knowledge of the field they have probably had a certification in. Because they have a very quick and easy way of explaining the tough topics to the students with a ease.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
