Remarks

College is good overall. Professor are also good provide various information other than syllabus. And very qualified for their job. Management is also very good as there is single person for 1 job.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Exam structure is also good as college conduct preliminary exams before main exams and Viva, assignments and also unit tests monthly. Teachers do their best so it will really helps us unlike private colleges where teacher don't pay attention to students. They also conduct industrial visits so that students can grasp as much knowledge as they can.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement was also very good as it is govt college. I didn't opt for placement campus. Tcs, Wipro, and many companies conduct interviews for selecting students and also take test. I don't know the percentage of selection. I don't know about the special steps which college take to prepare students.

College Events

4

Cultural events, teacher's day, fests and many more events are celebrated. Modal presentation in which we have to make modals and externals will judge that and give ranks according to presentation. Every national holiday like 15th August, 26th January and 2nd October is also celebrated in our college. Fest continues till 2 weeks and various activities are carried on such as sports, dance, songs, ramp walk, traditional day and many more fancy dress and so on.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is very feasible as it is govt college. In grant section they charge fees around 2500 for 1 year for b.com course and in no-grant section they charge around 7000-8000 so it is feasible than other private colleges. Payment is acceptable in cash or card mostly in cash. No there is no other charges that had to be paid in order to secure an admission to our course as selection is based on merit list only and first come first basis. I don't remember about the transparency in the fee- breakdown.

Fees and Financial Aid

No. I didn't opted for any scholarships or education loan. Although college offer scholarship opportunities to students as top 10 students will have a chance to switch from no- Grant to grant section where fees is less as compared toh no. Grant section.

Campus Life

3.5

There is no discrimination based on gender ratio and diversity, ethniticity, race, religion, sexual orientation, politics and economic standards. But there are 2 sections Grant and no- Grant. There is discrimination as grant is govt based and no- Grant is privately carried. Fees of grant is also less where no- Grant fees is more compared to grant section.

Hostel Facilities

3

No I didn't opted for college hostel as there are few seats there and I don't like sharing with so many roommates. And the cleanliness is also not good as I heard from my friends who lived there. I don't know that much about the hostel and mess facilities which are provided by the college.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes they are helpful they also helps in studies and support junior students and also provide guidance related to studies and also for campus selection.

Admission

I got admission by merit list system and by submitting various documents to fulfill eligibility criteria like migration certificate, 10th and 12th marksheet etc. I opt b.com so that I will do another course simultaneously with b.com. I chose this institution as it is a govt. College and faculty is also good.

Faculty

4

They are good and qualified for the subject they teach. There are different faculty for each course and also for each section as there are 2 sections Grant and no- grant. In grant section govt teacher teaches there whereas in no-grant section no-govt teacher teaches which are temporary. It is one of the discrimination according to me. Teachers support us in all ways they can and also support us other than studies like modal presentation and also praise us for our hard work.

Placement Experience:

At TCSC placements are quite good as anyone. Even the SOBO colleges and Mithibai don't have placements as good as us. So this is why I always dreamt of studying here because since last 6-7 years, Thakur College placements have gone better and higher.

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.
