Remarks

My conclusion is that the college should take initiative in generating incomes for the students by providing them part time jobs within the campus or nearby so that the students can easily pay their fees on time. They should hire some Industry professionals as faculties so that students can get aware of the situations faced in the industries.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Only some of the teachers gives industrial knowledge apart from the rest. There are some industrial visits which are organised by the Asst. Professors but that too in 3rd year of the course. But the industry-specific knowledege they give is not much important to be helpful in securing on-campus placements. There is one curriculum which they take in 4th year i. e, C2C (Campus 2 Commune) in which they used to conduct mock interviews, GD-PI sessions. This program is conducted for 2-3 days.

Placement Experience

1

The placement of our college is very very bad. I am currently in 3rd year and literally i haven't seen any company HRs in our college except for IT branch. No matter if are opting any branch, if you wish to get placed from college, you have only one option that is you have to choose IT sector. And they easily hire students of any branch. College has tie-ups with one or two industries only for internships (RCF Ltd, Mumbai and/or HPCL, Mumbai).

College Events

2.5

There are a lot of events celebrated in the college out of which an event called Saptrang is the best one. Many sports and other activities like Roadies, robowars, etc. are organised in this event which is organised always in the month of February. I used to participate in many sports, dramas, etc. in this event and in the other events too. Apart from Saptrang, there are many other events like Debates, Entrepreneurship programs, guest lecture from Industry Professionals are conducted in the college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees of the college is very expensive. They used to charge 1lac rupees from general category students. There are many modes of payment like online Debit card, E-challans, Cash. They always charges additional fees from the students like, every year we need to purchase an admission form which is of Rs. 1500 (a single page form) and we need to give extra charges for library and also we are not allowed to give the final practical exams until we clear the Rs. 500 Laboratory charge. These extra charges are not included in 1lac. There are many other charges they take which I can't mention them over here.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes i have opted for education loan. They do not give proper fee structure at the time of loan application. Seeing this, I have contacted Mr. Shahid Sharif Sir, the Chairman of RTE Action Committe to take action against the college. And only one call from RTE made the entire college unstable. The scholarship is only available for SC category students. They have to pay Rs. 0 INR for the entire course. There is no sports scholarship for the students.

Campus Life

4

The gender ratio is equal 1:1. They are same no. of boys and girls in the entire campus. The campus is very beautiful as if they have spent all of the money in decorating the campus, lol. There are many extracurricular activities for both students and faculties. They don't treat each and every student equally. The rich ones are treated better. And also there is religious discrimination like only Hindu students are treated well as per my observations. They don't entertain any Muslim student.

Alumni/Alumna

There are no interactions with the alumni students. Their alumni network is so bad. The seniors are quite helpful. I often discuss about future plannings and projects with them.

Admission

I have got admission in this college through MH-CET Entrance Exam in the year 2017. I have opted this course because i am very much interested in Chemicals (to play with chemicals). This college is one of the only two colleges in Nagpur and the other one is Govt. college. The steps for admission is very clear. You need to score above 50 marks in your MH-CET entrance exam which is conducted by DTE Maharashtra. Then you will be easily get admitted into the college.

Faculty

2

There are total 6 lectures of 1 hour each in a day with a recess after 3 lectures. I dont think so there is any average age for this course and both 12th and Poly pass students can apply for it. Only senior lecturers and HODs are hold industry experience and some are PHD holders.

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.
