Remarks
If you just want to be a graduate, join this college, if you want to enjoy your college life, find a better place.
Course Curriculum Overview
Exam is a farce in this college, I can only talk about the Evening branch, though. You appear for the exam or you dont, just pay some amount and you are through to the next year. Not sure if anything has changed in the due course of time, but this was how it used to be.
Placement Experience
No placement opportunities. You complete your graduation, take your degree and you are on your own.
College Events
The only events in the night college were all related to politics. Many times the college union members would stop an ongoing class and force students to go and participate in rallies. It was really unfortunate when you come to think of it, a state that has given the literary geniuses of the country, the same state's education system is so highly politicized.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Very feasible during our times, people from all kinds of background used to study in the college. This was the only positive part about the college administration. The fee for the whole year, during our time, was around 1000 bucks, which was really cheap even considering the fact that I am talking about a time which was 20 years back.
Fees and Financial Aid
There was no need of educational loan as the fee structure was really good and anyone could afford that.
Campus Life
Our evening college was a male only college, the morning one was females only and the day portion was coeducational. I have not participated in any of the events as the college never caught my attention. I was just enrolled there and wanted to be a graduate.
Hostel Facilities
No hostel facilities. It was a regular college not a residential one. People would attend college and then go back home or wherever they would reside. So, cannot talk about hostel as it was not applicable.
Alumni/Alumna
I am not a member of any alumni and have never tried to contact anyone, honestly, I only knew 2-3 people in college.
Admission
I filled the admission form and waited, for the list of selected student, to be published. Once the list was published, a date was mentioned when you would have to go to the college to fill in other details and submit the money for admission. That's all.
Faculty
Some of the faculty were really good, especially Prof. Sinha. If you would have attended all his classes, you would not be required to attend any other coaching classes for Tax. He was simply superb. I forgot the name of the Professor who used to teach us Audit, his teaching was also very good. Apart from these one or two names, all others were mediocre.
