Great College

The sports facilities of the college were great and sportsmen were supported.

The cource curriculum was according to VTU as at the time the college was affiliated to VTU, now it is a deemed University. The management tried to keep the labs updated. There were regular seminars and industry best practice talks, a lot of industrial. visits were also conducted.

The placements were great by the end of the final. year 85% of all students were placed and till date we get updates from the college regarding senior positions.

There were the annual college fest, sports fest, cultural fest and the departmental bi annul technical. fest where students from 35 colleges participate to present their papers. This used to be fully organised by Chemical department and was named Chemovation.

The college accepted DD, and there is a bank on campus which made things easier. The fee structure at that time was 1. 45L per annum. Hostle stay and good were additional. 2 boys hostel available on campus. Indian and NRI. nRI was expensive with twin sharing rooms. Indian hostel had 4 sharing rooms.

No, I did not have a scholar ship. the college did offer scholar ships to some students on merit. Sports scholarships were not available in 2011.

The on campus life was great, It was a mix of freedom and discipline. The campus was kept very clean vu the students and the cleaning staff made it look spot on. The gender ratio was maintained properly. We had the best basketball team in the state and a great fashion team. Internal departmental feat and cultural fest were amazing and help realer the ptessure.

Yes, I stayed in the NRI hostel for the 1st year. Although it was expesniv buy one of the best hostles I have ever se and or lived in. It was 72000 per year excluding food, but well worth it. The food charges were 3500 per month, but you could use the Indian mess that was 18000 per year.

There is an alumini network provided by the college, like a social network place. There are a lot of opportunities that are shared between the alumni.

I got admission through management quota as I missed the COMEDK exam. The admission process was seamless and got completed within hours. Chemical Engineering is not available in most colleges and amoung all Dayananda Sagar at that time had the best faculty and great placements.

We had about 20 faculty, professors, assistant professors, HOD, lab assistants all included. which was a great number considering only 45 students were taken per batch. The average age of the teaching staff would be 45 years. We had senior faculties who wrote books and they were used by college students all across.
