Adeeb Raavi's Review On Theem College Of Engineering - [TCOE], Palghar

College is good but the principal is ok. Students say he wants fine if attendance isless as if he only wants money from students. Facility is ok but students say fees is too much as compared to facility. Students are allowed to go out of the college during college hours but teachers can't step out as if they are injail.

I alwayz wanted to be an civil engineering i alwyz had a craze about this field alott and all other infrastructure thats why i haven choosen this field above other courses for the admission i was called and told to be there on a specific date told n then by certain group if members an interview was conducted icluding questions like why i wanted this course who told me about this field and what others educational qualification i had my last year aggregate percentage.

The curriculum was a hectic one as there are eight semester and total about 40 subjects to be studied in four year it contain various termworks submissions projects which is so much for a student lots of written work n contains two unit test ever semester and internal and external viva as well thers an elective subject as well which come in the last sem of the course and a project as well.

The first batch is yet to come out and nothing can be commented about the placements till then but as its seen theres certain companies like l&t tata adhikari which are expected to come there but it depends upto college whether to allow or not and its upto student as well to go to the compaines and give interview so that they can get the internship for themselve.

Jashn' Theem is the combined cultural & technical fest, held in the 1stweek of February in which all can take participate it contains various sports such as cricket, football, chess, carrom, tug of war, chess, quiz debates and others aswell as technical each and every branch take participate in this competitions as well the students from the other colleges are also allowed to take part in jashne theem while this fest the toppers of the college are also facilitated.

Fee struture is quiet feasible as the total amount is about 75000k the total tution fees is about 62640 rupees n others fees which include library stationary fees for both semester bus fees library fees personality development fees and others fees is about 12530 rupees in which 5100 is bus fees 1000 rupees is personality development fees 1225 rupees stationary fees for even semester and 1225 rupees stationary fees for odd semester as well and 3980 rupees as other fees the college provide some help in paying the amount in installments if any major problems is associated.

No scholarships are given from the college as its a private college and no loan facility is given to the student but if any major reasons or any genuine reasons occurs the student are allowed to pay the fees in installment by giving the applications by the student to the authority and the amnount devision is given to the student as well as date bfre which he has to submit the particular amount of the fees theres only one scholarship provided that is minority state government scholarship.

The canteen is quite spacious but the less said about the food, the better. Non-vegetarians get lucky only on Wednesday and Friday. Chinese food parlour outside the college where most of the students spent their lives. Chinchi & Kelve beach are the scenic ones accompanied with Mamacha Gaavand Surya Dam. KT theatre and Gold are for the movie buffs.

College does not have any hostel facility that is one of the main drawback of the college as it is situated away from the city and its contain more of the student which comes far away from the villages and as the train frequency is much less there is a much need of college hostel for the stutdents who cant travel daily as staying far away from boisar as well as the canteen food is not good its should have been more spacious as well first the canteen was small but now it has been shifted werr an spacious one is made having good n comfortable infrastructure the food of the canteen is quiet good and is pure vegeterian although some more items should be included in the menu for students.

The student are alwayz helpful to eachother seniors are very very helpful go the juniors they never behave as they are seniors treat each and everyone as equal and alwyaz help the juniors in their in their studies as well as in other extra curriculum they help them to get through their tough times tell them n expalin them how to study how to write the paper motivates them to take part in various activities they sit togther in free time and discuss all the activities to be done provides some duties to the juniors during the events.

Exam structre is quiet alott hectic aswell as lab experience the exam are conducted for atleast more than a month which gives alott of stress to the student during the exams aswell as the lab practical are too hectic during as there are so many praticals to be done.

The faculty of the college are good some of them are new to the teaching line and some have great experience in teaching line the faculty are alwyz helpful and provide support to the students when ever needed and give good assistance to the student they try to complete the protion hundred percent or else as much as possible they never say no for explaining the doubts of the student so overall thd faculty are good.
