Remarks

The 4 years of my educational life was very monotonous and I learned only so much what was thought from the books and what's required for the sake of examination and nothing specific to industrial readiness was thought nor the skills where given importance and the management was just focused on printing money nothing was done for the students. One plus side of the college is I got amazing friends.

Course Curriculum Overview

2

This is VTU affiliated college which means it follows an age-old book driven teaching method not much attention is given for students to make the industry ready and new mechanical PG teachers with less to no teaching experience are hired so again from what limited knowledge they have is book-based and only that is focused here, there are less to no opportunities presented by the college for industry readiness this is just for the pure degree certificate way of learning where at the end of 4 years you will be presented with a degree certificate.

Placement Experience

1

Placements for core mechanical are too low and there is a very low chance of one landing a core mechanical job internships are not provided by college one can make arrangements for that on there own during vocations

College Events

1.5

One annual college fest occurs for a period of 3-5 days and my socio-cultural happens and being a mechanical student and having a separate block there is not much importance is given to mechanical students if your truly interested in organizing and participating in events you have to show initiative and go to the cs and other branches in the main block apart from that no major events are held and organized by the college but if you're interested you can always make a team and participate in events and yet again college won't be funding any of those

Fee Structure And Facilities

Being a student from CET my yearly fees was around 55K and the payment was challan based and one particular thing about this dreaded system was you need to stand in line sometimes by missing your classes to get this done and there was a long queue for everything right from examination fees to all other college fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I have not opted for any kind of scholarship but there are many Karnataka govt based scholarship which is available which can be availed for Karnataka resident based in the income

Campus Life

1

The gender ratio is sort of equal in terms of diversity you can see people across India and not from other nationality not much importance is given by the college to encourage or conduct any kind of socio-cultural events or any other extracurricular activities as such if you are interested you should pave your own way with the help and guidance of seniors or like-minded peoples.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

No, I used to stay in pg but I have heard good things about college hostel but the process of getting in the hostel is not easy and it's a very corrupted process to get into the hostel you need to someone in the authority and bribe them to get a seat in college hostel the facility provided by the college are so so nothing extraordinary.

Alumni/Alumna

the college has tried to reach out a couple of times to its alumni but it's not a strong one. I would definitely say you can't depend on them for much help once out of the college your on your own

Admission

I had got entrance through CET based on my ranking, As I remember from the list of colleges I had applied based on my ranking I was awarded this college and from there the admission process from the college was straight forward nothing complicated upon reaching the college on the day of admission follow the instruction given by the admission authority at the college and you should be good to go.

Faculty

1.5

They were very less experienced lecturers and the majority of them where PG graduates who had just completed their pg and had entered teaching or industry engineers who had no teaching experience and everyone just followed the book and thought only as much needed for the exams no efforts were made to teach skills or knowledge which the modern industry demands and skills were not given the importance
