The college provides an all round environment for a student to grow in every aspect of life preparing each and every one for the cruel world that awaits outside the college.

Course curriculum and exam structure is defined by the west bengal University which is comon across all colleges that comes under it. Though our college has now become an independent University couple of years back. My personal opinion is most of the syllabus that we had during our time was not that relevant as I don't find it helping in my current field of work. But yes there were few subjects that actually helped in building base which is now helping to build my career on it.

Since it was first batch so the opportunity were not much. But we now get companies like TCS Wipro Infy LnT etc. to name few.

There were innumerable cultural activities, sports events, tech fests, food carvinals etc that happens accross the tenure where we get exposure of both inter and intra colleges. Annual events which included cricket league, tech search which gave way for innovative ideas to bubble.

Fees structure was as per West Bengal University set. Canteen and hostel was quite at lower end. So all in all it was feasible for the middle class family to help get good education at an affordable expense. Other expenses were also nominal. There is complete transparency in fess structure so that was never an issue.

There are many scholarship sanctions given to students who has low family financial. Special support is there for one's coming from farmers background.

Gender ratio was around 60-40 where 60% being male. With various extracurricular activities and events a student is occupied for the whole four years. There are strict rules against gender bias and race and religion. I never felt that there was inequality as the faculty always treated with equality.

No. I was local. But the hostel facilities was good as there were many students who had come from different states. It is sharing basis with boys and girls hostel as seperate buildings. Warden and security guards are always present.

As mentioned, our batch was the first batch so we were the good seniors for our younger ones. We have a healthy environment with no such seniority issues.

I remember it was way back in 2008 when Rice group came up with this college named Adamas institute of technology, it was the first year and we were the first batch getting admission. The admission process is quite simple and clear. You need to sit for wbut exam and based upon your marks you get a rank and every college has a range for ranks in which admission happens for different disciplines. The whole process happens to end by May to June depending upon the dates decided by Wbut University. This is how I got admitted in this college.

Till 3year the lectures were mainly theoretical, we had around 7-8 lecture a day. Which started from 9.30am sharp to 5pm in the evening. Last year was more of like real time scenario where we had gone through training in multiple companies to have a feel of industry.
