Remarks
If you are a studious type of person then you will enjoy the college. Not only enjoy it will be a paradise for you. But some students believe in roaming, chilling out with friends, do social work or play sports, these are the sector which is not promoted much. So look at yourself, if your quality suits the environment I would recommend you to come to IEM Kolkata.
Course Curriculum Overview
We have to appear for 4 mid sem and practical exam before appearing for semester exam. Our whole study is focused on promoting research ability in student. This is the reason why my college is considered as best private college in east India. This is the reason why many student had an clear intention to study in IEM kolkata.
Placement Experience
The placement record of our college is very good, Especially IT, CST student have very high chance of getting a good company. The preparation of campusing starts from 1st year itself. Classes like aptitude and reasoning is provided to the student from 1st year. Procedure of campusing starts from the last of 3rd year and ends in 4th year last.
College Events
All the cultural activties are celebrated through out the year and almost every two weeks there will be any kind of technical event for sure. Many sponsors company travel across the country to sponsor the event. As the whole east India has an eye in those events.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Average per sem fee is 50,000. I feel it is little bit expensive. Because many student dream to study this college but cannot make it possible because of the fee. The mode of payment can be draft,net banking. But our college also provides scholarship which you may be used as discount in your sem fee.
Fees and Financial Aid
No i have not opted for any scholarship. but my friends has opted for merit scholarships whereas I have not it is because i missed the date of submitting form.
Campus Life
Campus life is very much strict. You always need to be in discipline and properly uniformed. If you love to be a free soul then this is not the campus you will enjoy. Co curricular activities, labs competitions are well managed programs always. Student enthusiastically take participation.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni system is very good in my college. In every event they are welcomed. In many cases they are a helpful figure to us. even one of the alumni has helped me find internship.
Admission
I got admission by cracking JEELET exam. The student have to appear for WBJEE or JEELET examination and have to score good to get admission. Admission process starts from July month itself. Incase you have done diploma then apear for JEELET or you have done class 12 then sit for WBJEE.
Faculty
Most of the faculty we are having is IIT passed out. They had passed from a filtered procedure inorder to get that job. They are very professional in their behavior. The completion is of syllabus is secondary, while promoting research and making it understand is the first priority.
