IMNU Review

IMNU comes under second tier colleges list and it is a good college which can be considered in 85+ percentile range.

In the first year of the course, all the basics related to various specializations(Marketing, Finance, Operations and Human Resources) are taught. In the second year, we have to select subjects through bidding process in order to make a major and a minor specialization. Course also include special subjects like business communication and simulations and also a visit for social project for a week. Course Curriculum is revised often via alumni board meetings. It makes students updated with the current need in the industry.

The median final placement of the 2019 batch was 9 lakhs p.a. Companies like Infosys, AMUL, Wipro, Adani Wilmar, TCS, Zomato, Neilsen etc. comes for final placements. Companies like JP Morgan, SBI Life Insurance, Jio Studios comes for summer placements.

IMNU has 26 clubs and committees. Committees includes Placements committee, Alumni Relations Committee and others. Clubs includes Marketing Club, Finance Club, Dramatics Club, Music & Dance Club and others. Each Clubs and Committees has atleast 5 events in a year. The biggest event is the annual fest i.e. Perspective Richter 10.

As earlier mentioned, Nirma is known for its Return on Investment. Unlike other colleges in the same tier, it does not charge 20 lakhs. The academic fee for 2 years is 9,50,000 and other fees like hostel, mess and activity fees for 2 years is around 3,50,000. The total course fee is 13,08,000. It is feasible as we can get loan easily from the bank. Nirma comes under A category in most of the banks. Yes there is proper breakdown in the fee structure and it is transparent.

IMNU provides various scholarships which have some eligibility criteria like annual parental income. Education Loans are provided by almost all the banks very easily.

Nirma University has great campus life. The management course has students from 20 states. It has one of the best gender diversity ratio among all the management colleges i.e. 60 male : 40 female. College have entrepreneurship cell and incubation centre. As it has A26 clubs and committees and most of them organize national events, it is like around 150 events in a year.

Yes, I have opted for Hostel. It is mandatory to live in hostels as it is a residential course. They have 2 boys hostels( one is Ac and other is Non-AC) and 1 girls hostel(having both AC and Non-AC facilities). Boys Hostels are twin sharing while Girls Hostel is having 2 sharing as well as 3 sharing rooms.

It has one of the finest alumni base among the management colleges. college has 5000+ Alumunus. They are very helpful and also interacts through students via Alumni Meet, City Meets and Alumni Conclaves.

MBA course offered by Nirma University is one of the best in the country. The factors that made me choose this institute are Brand name of the institute, Return on Investment, Alumni Network, Beautiful Campus, Student driven culture, Infrastructure, 26 Clubs & Committees and Campus life. Most of the faculty at Institute of Management, Nirma University are having more than 10 years of experience in the educational sector. Also, many of them are Phds. Many of them are visiting faculty at IIM Ahmedabad and vice - versa. The course is divided into 6 trimesters and lecture in a course consists of 30 hours. IMNU also provides various certifications courses in association with companies like KPMG.
