A college with a great learning environment

Good college if you want to study in West Bengal, certainly one of the 10 best private colleges in West Bengal.

The course it follows is approved by wbut(makaut) and aicte. Though my stream was mechanical engineering, I also got learning experience of IT sector, which helped me in getting a job in an MNC. The course is job oriented and lots of research opportunities too.

Placement is the key thing for any technical course and here also the college aces. Every year TCS recruits a major chunk of students for technical role. Internships were also there. I was one of the luckiest to get an internship in a govt PSU.

Tech and culture fests ( leganzaa) and many conferences. At the time of events, external college students also used to participate. There wasn't any management events though. Also the events were mostly student driven so we learnt a lot about managing events.

Fee structure is viable. Mine was 4. 4 lakhs excluding the hostel and mess charges. The structure is pretty straightforward. And yes there was a booking amount that was supposed to be given at the time of counseling. also there were couple of scholarships that the students can avail.

I availed education loan from SBI Asansol for the financing. I approached the bank authority and they asked for couple of documents like bonafide certificate and fee structure etc.

Gender ratio was not great for mechanical department. But for other departments, it was well maintained. Campus life was Great, play grounds were there. Indoor games were also available. Library and labs were well equipped. Contests used to happen for quizzes and robotics.

The senior were helpful but we were not in touch with the alumni but recently, there has been an alumni portal opened which is helpful.

I took admission in this college through All india engineering entrance exam ( Aieee). The college is a joint venture of 2 firms, and provide a good learning and campus experience. Steps Aieee, merit list, counseling, admission. Though now the exam has changed.

The faculties are good. Honestly, not everyone is good, but most of them were. Specifically, DS from mechanical engineering department was one of a gem. Other professors also were very professional and welcoming in nature for any doubts and clarifications.
