Life of Ramjas College

Delhi University follows a semester system so do our college as it is affiliated under Delhi University. All colleges affiliated under Delhi University follows the same course curiculum. The course structure follows a theoritical as well as practical approach. In our course we don't have hectic sechdule there are 3-4 classes each day. Each subject has two internal exams before final semester exam and one assignment whose marks will be granted as internal assesment.

Like the placemnts for commerce and arts students are average as compare to science students. There are placements and internships from EY, deloittee, oyo life and from many start ups. Internships are pretty average. Most of them offer work from home and and job profile mostly have marketing and content writing. Around 70 percent internships doesn't offer any stipend only LOR.

Our college is very active in terms of conducting events. College offers a very good social life. There are different societies more than 12 which conduct various events every months. Societies conduct webinars and workshops. Various department in our college are also very active. There are annual fest of each society and department in which students from other colleges also participate. There is one annual fest of college and a sports meet. Ramjas provides a good exposure to every student.

Hostel facilities are very good as compare to pgs. There are two seater room in the hostel and food is literally awesome as compare to many pgs and hostel.there is one common room for different activies. Hostel life is amazing and you can't experience this life in any pg or flat. Pgs are quite expensive in campus area. The average rent starts from 9000.

I got admission in College on merit basis. I choose Bcom hons. because i want to pursue my career in corporate and finance world. Earlier i was a bit confuse between eco hons and Bcom hons but when i went through all the details one thing that made me clear is that if i pursue bcom hons my options of commerce will be open for me and options of finance world like Cfa, Cma & etc will be available. Then i was clear what i want to study in my future. My college is affiliated under Delhi university, so the admission process is same as of Delhi University which is merit based. Number of cut off are released for particular courses. The cut offs released are category wise as Delhi university has it's reservation criteria. Once university release it's admission forms online and one have to fill it online and submit by meeting proper payment criteria. After it cut off are released the college for which one meet the criteria have to go to the particular college and submit the required documents. The preparation strategy is just that you have to score high in the 12th and you will easily get admission in DU

It depends upon on teacher to teacher like some are very amazing and cooperative and help a student in every way possible and want to give the students their best of their knowledge. Some just focus on completing their syllabus. Well, commerce faculty is counted as one of the best faculty in the college and and except two or three teachers it actually is. They help us grow in all ways . Most of the teachers are PHD holders in our faculty.
