Reviewing as a current student of PEC

The course curriculum is equipped enough to keep you busy the whole semester. It is divided into perfectly placed subjects and labwork is also conducted on. Weekly basis in groups. Many projects be it individual or group are given throught the semester. The exam procedure is also good keeping in mind both theory and practical knowledge. Two exams per semester i.e, Midsems and endsems are conducted along with quizzes on a continuous evaluation basis.

The placement scenario till now has been really satisfactory for PEC. In terms of internship, yes we are provided with a whole semester without any academic baggage to pursue our intern of our own choice, unlike many colleges. Companies visit us both in third year as well as fourth year for internships and placements respectively. Ranging from coding profiles to other non core profiles students have enough opportunities with them. Moreover, our college also supports research internships in reputed IIT's and foreign universities too to keep the students interested in research and development areas.

Our college has all the required clubs and activities that one needs to be active in. Pec dramatics club is really famous for its discipline and performance. Moreover, pecfest is organised every year which holds both the technological and cultural activities and competitions in which students from all over the country participate. The events are managed at three levels subheads, jointheads and heads for respective responsibilities ranging from logistics to event management. It is a great environment for increasing interaction between seniors and juniors and enhance skills.

It is feasible. The fees structure is less than that of IIT's and more than that of state funded college's.Considering all the facilities that we are provided like library, WiFi and laboratories it is quite reasonable. Moreover, scholarships are also available for financially weaker sections. It is about 60-65 thousand per semester.

I did not avail any scholarship from the college but there are plenty. All the top rankers from each branch, women scholarships and other scholarships supported by alumni's are provided to the students.Though not from college but I got a department scholarship worth 40k on merit cum income basis.

All extracurricular activities are available in our college ranging from sports to cultural activities. All the clubs are there with excellent participation from both girls and boys. Parties and cultural events are held regularly.

I live in Panchkula which is nearby Chandigarh, so I have not opted for hostel facilities but as per the hostels are considered they are well maintained. I am a day scholar and travel daily to college from home only.

Pec has well established alumni relations. One whole team works on keeping record of our alumni's. We have Alumni Meet which is also held every year with great participation from our alumni's. They range from being corporates in big companies to being in social services.

I got selected to this college by giving the entrance exam JEE Mains. The regulating body is now JoSAA through which you get into IIT's, NIT's, IIIT's. I preferred reputed college over any specific branch as I was not inclined to ny specific subject till then. Although PEC CSE is preferred more but the course I am into is also quite knowledgeable and interesting as per engineering and research backgrounds are considered.

The college's faculty is highly qualified and professional. All the teachers are equipped with ongoing research projects either with the college or government funded projects. They are really helpful for taking doubts and also encourage us to take up new challenges. They keep on motivating us to learn new skills and take new projects.
