Complete fun and enjoy

Good things about college: 1) Quality and efficient management. 2) Good teaching staff. 3) Importance of extracurricular activities. 4) Strict rules. 5) Strict actions against law breakers. 6) Special aid to students who could not cope up with studies. 7) Special efforts for ridiculously scholor students.8) Huge library with huge number of books. Bad remarks about college: 1) Smaller college canteen.2) Smaller ground to play. 3) Inefficiency in making college festival more glamorous in suburb. 4) Some arrogant support staff could not be replaced. 5) Lesser books in library of other than academic categories. 6) Unacceptable thinking of few teaching staff.

I cleared CA-CPT an entrance exam of Chartered Accountancy cource, in which I score 117 out of 200. Chosing to do CA was crucial since the glory around it also its difficulty. And I was doing the cource of B.Com. in Model college which supported the curriculum of CA cource.

Cource corriculam included important subject for my study like Economics, Mathematics, Business Laws, Corporate Laws, Ethics & Communications. Each and every subject was upward learning curve in itself. Each subject also had practicle project reports and interviews in the industry.

Apparently I did not participate in internship programme held in college for prospects, but reputed companies like L&T Infotech, Axis Bank, WNS, HDFC Mutual Fund and several of such kind did participate.

Apperantly do not know in details but at least 20% of total college students being the brightest ones were offered jobs upon clearing interviews and aptitude tests. Packages for different profiles were renging from 1.25 Lakhs p.a. to 2.5 Lakhs p.a.

NSS unit of particularly Model College is famous in the city for their work for environment and road safety. Besides that special programs to encourage Sanskrit learning is apperant in college's extra corricular activities.

Since Govt. Aided college, fee structure was affordable for far group of families being around Rs. 5,000 for each year of B.Com. several unaided corses like Banking & Insurance, Financial Markets, Information Technology, etc costed fees Rs. 20,000 onwards for a year.

As far as my knowledge students for poor class families had every opportunity to avail scholorship but subject to some academic excellence. Colleged helped such students with fees and study materials.

Campus life of Model college was like same as any other college do on an average. We had NSS unit to work upon environment issues collaborating with other colleges in the city. Our college have the best football team in town, besides that we played cricket, kabaddi & Kho-kho. Along with it we had competitive players in indoor games like carrom, badminton, table tennis & chess. Girls in our college were comparitively better in numbers than boys thus they had huge influence on success of college in sports & games. Cultural Secretory was a boy during my time in the college though Gymkhana Secretory was a girl and both done a great job togather also getting elected consecutive for two years. There was hardly any gender discrimination in our college besides there was no influence of anyone's caste, religion, ethinicity regarding intolarence. Everyone treated equally and had strong mindset of humanity and friendship. Regarding economic status, we had colleagues from different walks of life. We all had parties togather with people from different courses and also worked in cultural committee togather. Thus, College's annual day had to be special for everyone.

College did not have a hostel. Most of the students came from nearby suburb and from Dombivli itself. Though few students I know lived as PG within Dombivli itself. Most of them shared the rentals by living togather. Average rent is around Rs. 10,000 per month for apprx. 600 sq. ft. area at current date.

Alumni of the college has fixed dates to visit, they usually had tasks of helping teaching staff and students in their work. Interactions thus, were frequent with ex students.

Life during Exams and in science or computer labs was relaxed. Exams and tests were always conducted in lieu of lectures and whereas other activities were conducted only after lectures.

Faculty of my college was very supportive towards CA students and helped those who asked in their studies going beyond the lectures of college hours. All of the faculty had higher education like CA, LLB, M.Sc., Ph.D. Their teaching standards certainly were above par. Our dean believed in only best teacher can bring out best from students.
