B.tech consist of 8 semester in 4 years.college organised tech fest and job fair. This college involved with many foreign university. The college have 8 stream.mechanical eng,civil engineering, electrical engineering,ece , computer science,eee,bca,mca,bba,mba,bio technology

College Events

Tech fest,tech fair, cultural fair, state sponsor fair, project fair. U hve to enroll in college website. There is no fees to participate. College gives meals and project expenses. it will held 3 times in a year and it takes 7 days to complete the fair.

Sem fees 40 k . Total 2 lakh. There is no extra charges. Sem fees including the library fees.college has book bank . U can withdraw book from library and book bank without any changes.university take charge 1k per semester for exam fees. College has a gym where u can go without any changes

Campus Life

College has two common room ,one swimming pool, tenis cote , play ground. Labs are very advance there has alternative labs. 10000/12000 student in the college.teachers are very help ful.it is a ragging free campus.there is no politics involved.there is no religion

Seniors are very helpful. They always guide junior. There is no problem with senior. Teachers are also very helpful. Passout Senior came to meet junior in college fest

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Svist review

I have applied in du, gnit and got confirmed seats in du but due to family reasons I didn't make it in du. And in gnit i didn't got a seat in cse department as it was full but it was offering me aiml. Then there was svist which was closed to my house and was providing the course. I haven't scored enough marks to get in nit jadabpur they were offering civil engineering. Admission process was quite easy in this college you just have to pass through counseling....Read More
