Remarks

One of the best college in the State. People from other states and abroad come here and study.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course, Curriculum & Exam Structure – Is relevant, research-driven and fair. Any one who passes out of MCC are called as Gentleman of MCC. Umdoubtedly, MCC moulds everyone in such a way that they indeed turn into true gentleman and gentlewoman. The course offered here not only equip one for the future but makes sure how one sustains it.

Placement Experience

4.5

The college is best known for its placements and internships. Every year, the top companies (Majorly the forbes 100) come to the college and offer internship for the 2nd year students, and placement to the 3rd year. Although the competitions are high, if you are good enough, one can crack them easily. Unfortunately, I couldn't avail an internship or a placement due to my personal reasons.

College Events

4

The college as a whole conducts it's cultural programme - Deepwoods every year, not only that, department wise annual national conferences are conducted too. In my department, it use to be for three days. If you have something to present on, from the conferences conducted by other departments, you can do it.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure in the day college (governement aided) is completely feasable. But the evening session (self financed stream) has now turned slightly expensive. I graduated in the 2012, ever since that, the fee structure has steeped so much that now when I see the fee structure, they are a little high and expensive.

Campus Life

5

All these were excellent.

Hostel Facilities

5

No, I never opted for a hostel, but have visited hostels and have had the hostel food. In MCC, hostels are never called as hostels, but halls. MCC has four halls for men, and two for women. Although the hostels were built sevaral decades ago, they still look strong and firm, and have seen many students.

Alumni/Alumna

There haven't been any alumuni meet eversince I completed the course. College should conduct such meet once in a year for the alumni group.

Admission

I got admission in this college through my 12th marks obtained in school. The brand name, a history that dates back to 1856, the college campus, and it's all India ranking was what tempted me to get an admission. The college does not give admissions to all. One must have secured 70+ percentage. Same should be the weightage for the major subjects and should not have had any repeats.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty of each department have so much expertise and knowledge in their department. The classes do not have only the text book knowledge sharing or bookish sessions, but these great professors bring in all their expierence and sessions are full of practical know how.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The specific aspect will be accounting that made me choose this couse. The curriculum made me to prepare for future accounting field works and knowledge around the field. The improvements that I suggest may is to add more relevent real life job experience in subject books itself. As per me who is one of a topper student in my college, The difficulty is moderate to me and timing of exams are more enough to fill all the questions.

Placement Experience:

In MCC there is placement but it's not 100% placement, only 10 to 20 from a class of 60 gets placed, so when it comes to placement it's upto to you and your skills. Normaly the placement enrollment starts at beginning of your 5th semester or end of your fourth semester, you can opt for placement or higher study. The highest package was from Standard Chartered & Deloitte it was 6 Lakhs CTC. Accenture, TCS and some well known companies will participate in placement drive. The average package will be Rs.3.5 Lakhs CTS. I'm planning to go for higher studies while doing a part time job after getting degree.
