It was a wonderful experience. The location of the College was serene and the academic side was good too. Somethings were bad also like the strictness of the wardens. Fee refund processes as well as caution money refunds. Overall it was an above average college and in the end it totally depends on the student where he can reach.
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum is very much learning and practical based. They teach you alongwith the models and in lab thereby imparting actual knowledge of the subject. We had been given projects based on research basis and had to surveys to understand the views of the users and students in a better way.
Placement Experience
I had internship with Tata motors, Sanand, Ahmedabad. It was a 4 month internship. The placement cell in the college was the best place to be. They groomed us in interviews, our personalities as well as languages so as to leave a lasting experience on our Recruiters. Microsoft, Mahindra, Ashok Leyland, Various Auto ancillary companies visited our college. Highest no. was in Computer science branch with 40 well known companies like Infosys, TCS, IBM, etc.
College Events
Events like Autoignition which discussed about various inventions and racing events. Introduction events. Bands, plays and sports events were held on a yearly basis. Cultural events were held as well. Some of the events were state level but Robotics and Designing events were held on National level. Football was a national level event and almost 30 colleges participated.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Total expenses were 5 lakhs for 4 years for Tution fees. Hostel fees was 50, 000/- per year so it was quite feasible however we took a education loan to be on the safer side. No donations were required. Fee breakdown was given in quotations and it was all so transparent.
Fees and Financial Aid
I availed it through private banks and college provided us the information about the banks with which they had the tie up. Eligibility criteria was easy as its an education loan. Procedure varies from bank to bank. Scholarship was provided for 5lakhs under EWS.
Campus Life
Gender ratio was 10:1 in Mechanical and 10:5 in Computer science. Debates were great and we had very healthy discussions. Labs were well equipped we had various lathe machines to learn the technology and the coding in a better way. Robotics events were top notch we had Robo football and follow the line events.
Hostel Facilities
Yes I opted for hostel for the 1st 2years and the experience is mixed. We had ducting for air conditioning and being in rajasthan it was very hot. The food of hostel mess was sometimes ok but sometimes unbearable. Average rental was 55, 000/- per year. Including food, rooms, etc.
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors were very helpful and they helped the juniors in tackling issues during the projects as well as various seminars were held by Alumnis who were at high positions in companies. They provided good insights about the job roles as well as the right field to choose and useful skills to work upon.
Admission
Field is growing. Good placement options. Passionate about the subject. They had great labs and designs of machines made by senior students which really attracted me towards the college. Admission was done through entrance exam held in May and results given in July. Admission start in August where they give you branches as per the merit list.
Faculty
We had 5 lectures a day each for about 50 min and 3 lab periods. The faculty was veteran and very well versed in the subjects taught. We had industry experience in 3rd and 4th years wherein we visited 4 factories in 3rd year to observe and learn about the various processes as well as roles of various people working there.
