It is about that list of topics to be taught and learned for a specific period or programme, while scheme of work is drawn from the syllabus and broken into pieces to be taken on a termly basis. Just hearing about the hostel is not good enough. you have to go see it. if possible with somebody who knows a few things about hostels and is your well-wisher. Check quality of food, timings, and quality of students staying there. all 3 are equally important. Secondary importance is transport and optional food facilities available in the surrounding area. or if there is a good community in the surrounding area.
