Entrance Preview
Patna University Vocational Course entrance exam. I scored 80% in the entrance exam. I opted for this course as I had an interest in Computers.
Course Curriculum Overview
The overall course was divided in 6 semesters. Computer subjects C, C++, SQL, JAVA, COBOL, FOXPRO, VB, MIS, DBMS, practicals etc. Electives Hindi, English, Maths, Ststistics.
Internships Opportunities
College internship included Summer projects for 3 months. I had my internship done from Rural Electrification Corporation (REC). This is a government organization. There I along with 2 of my colleagues helped them automate their file system.
Placement Experience
There were many companies that offered jobs. Around 25 companies came in to offer jobs to the students. The placement was centralized and was strictly based on the CGPA scored by the candidate. Students with any back logs were not allowed to appear in the placement interview.
College Events
The college fests were organized with great zeal and enthusiasm. The major events included Freshers Party, Farewell Party, Dance competitions, Technical fests, Inter college sports meet, Cricket tournaments.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure was feasible. The overall fee included 30000 for 3 years. Since this is a government aided college, it had all the subsidies included. The fee was taken once in a year worth Rs 10000/- per year. This included the tution fees, library fees and other miscellaneous charges.
Fees and Financial Aid
The banks were easily available to provide loans for the courses. Since the college was a government aided college so taking loans was easy. Many nationalized banks were readily available to grant educational loans.
Campus Life
The college organized many extracurricular activities. It included different fests where different colleges were invited. Many sports tournaments were organized to ensure an all round development of the individual.
Alumni/Alumna
The seniors and the alumni of the college were very helpful. They helped with the study materials as well as also guided the new students to frame their career. Many placement activities were conducted through the help of college alumni.
Faculty
The faculty of the college included PhD holders and guest faculties. They had immense knowledge to guide the students through their course. The theory as well as the practicals seemed easy as they taught us. Regular tests and assignments were conducted to test the knowledge and growth of the students.
