Management needs to focus more on the teaching content. Syllabus needs to be updated as per market requirements. More of practical knowledge should be provided.

Basically a 2 semesters makeup one year of engineering. You have your Internal exams every month and the marks opted make up 50% of you overall curriculum marks. A total of 8 semesters will have to be cleared over a period of 4yrs. You get the final semester exams every 6months. Incase one fails to get the minimum passing grade which is E grade he or she will be promoted with a makeup exam to clear the exam. Incase one fails in makeup he/she shall be given a stc exam to clear that. If you fail the STC exam then that particular subject will be considered as a backlog which one needs to clear over the subsequent years. A maximum of 4 backlogs can be cared by a particular student to get promoted for the next year. Incase of more than 4 backlogs one is considered to have an year back and have to clear those exams. Marks are provided in grade system. And it goes as follows in the descending order. S, A, B, C, D, E and F. F grade stands for fail and S stands for 10CGPA. Passing marks is of 40marks ( E grade) out of 100.

Worst placement is what you can expect. Hardly you get companies which pay you good package. Worst part is you can't argue much.

You get multiple events through the year. Insignia, fiesta, freshers party, branch party. Technical hub, robotics race and SDM utsav. Lakhs of people from different colleges participate. 1000s of college students visit college for various events and take part in them.

Feasible if you have money. Depends on the type of seat one lands. If via cet then one will have very less fee structure and the management kota students need to pay hefty amount. Matters alot. Money is everything in SDMCET. Transparency is provided.

No idea. Haven't applied for any but one can get scholarships based on his/her performance in the academic year.

Lots of competition. Everyone is provided with equal rights. Racism isn't a part of college. Sexually everyone is accepted. Gender ratio is adequate. Lots of cultural programs. Workshops are conducted. Students are provided with free zone and college doesn't interfere in your matters.

Yup they are helpful in getting good contacts and help in finding jobs and many more. Interaction with seniors is helpful.

CET is what landed me the course. I always wanted to get into Information technology and Engineering. You can land a seat either by you CET or via management kota. SDM is a great college in terms of learning and atmosphere. It is located at one of the best locations one can expect. Full of greenery and fresh air. Claim and peaceful. Affiliated under VTU Belagavi. SDMCET is the best college one can opt for.

Ok knowledge but need a lot of things to be updated. Same topics are thought every year which ain't going to help an engineering student to the real world. Certifications hold a lot of plus points for the students and faculties are good in terms of helping the students.
