A bew student must know about a college before taking admission

Recently the college is deciding to organise the semester even in this pandemic which id going to be held online. But this should never be fone because many students don't have proper internet connection. Many students even don't have computers so it is a very worst decision to organise the semester. The laboratories are not so good. The hygiene in toilet is worst. The campus is very good and beautiful.

The examination procedure is very bad before the internal exam we get the notice before 1 or 2 days. There are 2 internals( Ut-1 and Ut-2) held before a semester. The Ut-1 contains descriptive type question only and the Ut-2 has both MCQ s as well as descriptive type questions. The college had organised am industrial visit to Kolaghat power station but due to Covid19 it was cancelled. The faculty and the way of making the syllabus is not so good as it is an autonomous institute it has a self designed syllabus which is not so compactible for the students.

I am in the final year so based on the last year campusing the campanies like Capgemini, Cognizant, Byjus and other small companies came but they didn't took much students. As of this year due to the pandemic there are no campusing held yet. And the seniors those who were placed in those It companies many of there joining letter were cancelled.

There are various cultural events held in this college i am too involved in this activities a bit. Events like- Annual fest(Zyzzva and Euphonious), Tech Fest( Tessract), Inter college Cricket tournament, Inter college football tournament, Volleyball tournament, badminton tournament, Book fair, freshers, farewell and many more are celebrated.

The fees structure is moderate if you go to any other engineering college they would take the same fees for Electrical engineering the overall course fees is around 4 lakhs. And if you stay in hostel then the fees become more. But as i have heard from my classmates thise who stayed in college hostel that they are provided a bad quality food. The college doesn't provide us the complete transparency in fee-breakdown.

If you have opted for education loan go to bank and submit the details create an account of yourself and choose for student loan. After all the formalities are done in bank, the bank would provide you a draft of certain amount which is generally high during the time of admission compared to other semester fee. Submit the draft in the college office during the time of admission they would then help you for further formalites related to admission.

Basically in electrical engineering there are less number of girls you would see in other colleg too. But department like Computer Science engineering, information technology, food technology, bachelor of hospital management (BHM) has equal proportions of girls. There is a mechanical workshop in our college which is basically for all 1st year students. There is no chance of serious ragging as the college take active measure on ragging related issues. There is no dress code specified in this college we all have to wear proper uniform that is provided by the college. There is no criticism based on caste, religions, skin colour we all study under the same roof here.

The seniors are very helpful. In every college there are good students as well as bad students too but if you don't tease them they will mever be rude to you.

I took admission base on my Jee Mains rank. I am doing my B.tech in electrical engineering from Gurunanak institute of technology. I choose this institution because i heard from many that campusing opportunity is good in this college but after i took admission as time went i heard about many fake campusing too.

Maximum of the faculties are average but their educational qualification is high but their way to discuss a topic to the students is not so good. But there are few good faculties too there are many faculties who are really helpful. I am an electrical engineering so if you want to take admission in electrical engineering you must think twice because the laboratory are not so good many of the machines don't work properly. Many of the faculties of electrical engineering don't have the industrial experience too.
