Remarks

Considering many factors there are many rules and regulations that should be waived off and there is a requirement of a fresh set of ground rules. Management should work to help make the campus feel positive and energetic .

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Basically you study and give exams, but there are much of practical stuff to do. Also there are seminars and other activities which get you some industry knowledge. We all know college is about studying majorly few days before Exam and mostly from YouTube. Still there are guys you can meet who get notes and everything ready by attending all classes .

Placement Experience

3.5

College placements are average with average package of around 4 lacs. But it depends on the student. Moreover placement cell is highly cooperative.

College Events

1.5

There is Vasantika (cultural) and DRIEST (technical) fest. Apart from it there are multiple events like cricket tournament etc. These are only btech events but there are many other events which go on like of bba, nursing etc. Students participate in inter college events too .

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure isn't that bad and is affordable. Most students get loans while others pay on their own. College has provision for students who gave difficulty paying their fees and the breakdown is clear enough. Moreover college has an in house bank where students can deposit any kind of fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

I personally didn't opted for any as such but my friends have. Some took Odisha government scholarship on merit basis and some took loans. From the college side it's not a great deal to get any of these but you are solely responsible for the sanction of loans or scholarship. The college has given the provision for it, and you must avail it if you wish to and are eligible .

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life isn't much like that of urban colleges. You get to see most of the people being too themselves. Hardly you'll find girls and boys interacting. Most people are locals so it is a language barrier that an outsider has to face as people interact majorly in their native language. There is a little competitive atmosphere in some fields, but not to that extent.

Hostel Facilities

2

Yes hostels are available and they have surplus. It's 4 people in a room sometimes 3. Hostels come with dining facility, though hostel food is not good. You can manage if you try to. There are refreshment centre's too.

Alumni/Alumna

There are frequent alumini interactions which take place and most of them are quite helpful. Among seniors toh need to find yourself a good mentor and you are good to go.

Admission

I got into this college using my JEE rank and score. You have to get yourself registered for the university in which the college is helpful. If someone hasn't appeared jee they can still get in by appearing for OJEE that is Odisha joint entrance exam. The college can guide you quite well if you have legit documents .

Faculty

3.5

The faculty are very qualified in their fields and ready to help students. They give their immense effort to help students unleash their full power. However a student has to teach their mentor to be benefited. So self help is the best help. One problem you might face if you don't know odiya language is that you won't be able to understand what is being taught. But you'll get through with time .

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.
