Remarks

I can say that the college was academically excellent in the town at least. It helps you to get good marksheets and inspires you to be all around developed rather than just a robot with 8 or 9 CGPA. The bad is some of the unexplainable and unjustified rules the college imposed on students. Mainly about the attendance and the internal exams. Our college didn't consider to put one entire semester in internships which was already done by a lots of colleges like VIT Pune, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course curriculum was exactly designed to make you get good marksheets. But it's not research driven and not even able to place you in an industry. You have to be aware of the outside technologies the industry is currently using to be receive a good package. I myself have learnt some CAD technologies after completing my graduation in order to get a job in the Design engineering field.

Placement Experience

3

Placement was the one thing our college sold at that time. It always had 97-99% placement numbers around every year. What about the numbers it was excellent. But it mostly included mass recruiters mostly like Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Capgemini, etc. Picking up 300-400 studen te in one go. Through generally aptitude and interview.

College Events

2.5

Workshop on Aptitude & development (WAD) NSS prerna The main cultural event SAE supra, ISHRAE events, industrial visits. There was much more. Mostly the events were culture driven. I can't speak of today's scenario but technical events that showcased the latest technologies used in the industry were very rare at the time I studied in it.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure was clear although I thought it was expensive compared to the infrastructure college provided. The fees was around 1.07 lakh per annum. The campus was also not that big and sometimes lacked even basic facilities like parking. College did provide the fees breakdown everytime and accepted cash, cheque & DD at that time.

Fees and Financial Aid

Apart from the government scholarship programmes and the education loans banks provided, the college doesn't provide scholarship programms on it's own. I hadn't opted for any education loans either since it puts a lot of load on you after graduation.

Campus Life

2.5

Gender ratio in Mechanical engineering was just as terrible as it is in every campus. As I mentioned earlier there were a lot of workshops held within the campus which focussed on Aptitude, communication skills, entrepreneurship development, team work etc. Politics was pretty much high around the events around the SRC (Students' Representative Counsil), the main students cultural body in college. Favouritism was one of the main things the campus did. The students were mostly from the middle class or a few wealthy families and showed it off in the campus. The main problem of the campus was it was overdisciplined. Fine and punishment was imposed for stupidest reasons that other colleges took for granted.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Hostels was one of the most overcharged things in our college. It provided nothing compared to what it charged. The rooms, beds and fans were in terrible condition. The outside hostels on the other hand provided AC rooms with breakfast facilities for the same fees college hostel collected. The only advantage this hostel had was it was inside the campus and provided proper security to the students. Mess was good at the start but became terrible at the end.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors were helpful in most part in the academic and other parameters. They helped and guided you properly if approached for help. The college held and still holds an Alumni meeting every year where they discuss the improvement that can be done regarding the programme. In that you could ask anything to your aluminis about the industry scenario. Overall it was a good and healthy environment regarding that aspect.

Admission

It was a process of CAP rounds (Common Admission Process). The field was core one of the most recommended branches by anyone at that time. Plus the college is autonomous that I thought would give me extra advantage. It's placement record was also excellent at that time

Faculty

3.5

The faculty number is 15-20 in our branch, it was good and very helpful when it came to the course curriculum. Average age is like 40ish that included 10 PhDs and 2 double PhDs. The lecturers were well qualified to teach the course they taught. The ones with industry experience were rare but academically they were the most qualified people available to teach that subject.

The average salary package offered is 6 LPA. My plan after getting the degree of bachelor of engineering is to go for masters and acknowledge more and more knowledge in engineering filed. And be my level best. I'm also looking forward for opportunities to go abroad for my mtech degree. Future my expectations form college are High. Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.
