Job prospects for graduates of the course have always been good, where candidates can join the private sector or the government sector. Engineering as a career has attracted students in India in a big way and a large number of aspirants taking the engineering exams are testimony to this fact. Engineering is a multi-disciplined field with new disciplines and branches being added with the advancement of science and technology. Irrespective of trends in the markets, engineers are always in demand especially those in electrical, civil, mechanical and computer. Growth opportunities are huge as India is an open economy with multinationals opening their offices in India. Indian engineers are good in their logical and mathematical skills. This is one of the most asked questions by the aspirants. I have messages full of such queries, so I thought I would rather make it public. Please note that this was for 2014 admission batch and not everyone has this fees structure. Some had to pay 79K as already mentioned by my friends.

Well Techno India University(TIU) and Techno India Salt Lake (TISL), both fall under Techno India Group (TIG) and share the same campus in Sector 5, Kolkata but both are very different from each Other. This Salt Lake campus is considered the main campus of TIG. TIU is an autonomous college i. e. it has its own rules and does not follow the rules of MAKAUT, the question papers and checking of the answer sheets are all done by the TIU teachers only(no outsider), hence it is easier to get marks in TIU. Where as TISL fall under MAKAUT University and it has to follow its rules and regulations, the question paper is supplied from MAKAUT and it is also corrected by the teachers assigned by it. hence getting marks becomes little difficult in TISL than in TIU. The fee structure is also very different. TIU has a very high fee than TISL. TIU takes approximately 79000 per Sem where as TISL takes 40000. Needless to say the facilities and infrastructure provided by TIU is much better than TISL.

The library is one of the key sources of knowledge at Techno India University. One of the library's roles is to support and sponsor various study, teaching research and development programs from time to time. There is more than 60, 000+ collection in the library. Any student or staff automatically become a library member. The library is also developing towards digitisation which is enriched with ebooks, online journals, online services etc.

I got the admission through the Wbjee examination eatch year conducted by the state. Then councilling happened nd I get the chance in 3rd round. For 2020–2021 academic session, the Board will conduct the Common Entrance Examination for admission to Undergraduate Courses in Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture in Universities, Govt. Colleges and Self-Financed Institutes in the State.

The Department of Engineering at Techno India University, West Bengal is a conglomeration of multiple disciplines with separate departments for Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Chemical Engineering. All departments are facilitated by eminent faculty members from academia and industry along with modern classrooms and state-of-the-art laboratories for the best possible preparation of theoretical and practical lessons of students. Students can actively involve themselves in workshops, seminars and interdisciplinary research.
