Remarks

Because of it's beautiful campus, culture and most importantly because of it's parent organization that is RICE GROUP which is one of the best in West Bengal.

Course Curriculum Overview

Faculties are mostly from IITS and NITS and we have a completely hi tech classroom with audio video classes and exams have been taken on time.

It offers internship after 5th semester in government and private companies, so that we can gain some practical knowledge.

Placement Experience

After 6 semester, students are eligible for placements and it's placement is good for computer science department, TCS, Infosys and many other companies are coming for placement.

Fee is slightly higher but there is a chancellor scholarship based on merits and performance in the semester exam.

Campus Life

It has one of the best and beautiful campus in Kolkata and there was cultural groups for different cultural activities like music, dance, different languages etc. College area is spread on 100 acres of campus with fully wi-fi facility.

Hostel Facilities

It has one of the best hostel in Kolkata with WiFi, proper hygiene and food quality is good and it has separate boys and girls hostel with full security and live camera in every floor and it has 3 building for hostel accommodating nearly 2000 students.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

I had applied to IEM kolkata, The Neotia University and brainware university simultaneously. I chose this college due to the excellent placements. I didn't take admission to IEM kolkata as the fees were really high. Also, i didnt take admission in The Neotia University and brainware university due to their not-so-efficient placements.
