GARGi MEMORIAL INSTITUTE Of Technology is one of the best emerging colleges in West Bengal,many students from different states like Bihar,Tripura, etc come to study here.I am pursuing b.tech from ece department in gmit. Gmit Has a beautiful infrastructure in a vast area ,good fascinated labs with modern equipments ,big airy classrooms,well maintained computer practical rooms are there. Great faculties for every subject , mentors for guidance are present. I had preffered this college after visiting many websites and advertisements and later when I visited the college campus it was really fascinating. Any student can compare other colleges with GMIT,and they will find it to be a wise choice. Admission process is also very simple U can even directly contact from the details mentioned on the website of the college.students along with their guardian can visit the College campus and satisfy doubts with the faculties. All in all it is a good as well as affordable college for middle class people.

I am in ECE department as I was always fond of electronics,and also because from ece a person can easily take jobs in IT sector as well,can get chance in prominent places like PSU's ,ISRO,baarc etc. The student to faculty ratio is 1:10 which really good.The faculties are very well qualified from eminent institutions, maximum of them have done ph.d and are engaged with various research fields.They teach in a practical way on board as well as digitally, they explain every topic by ppts also and provide notes for the same ,even after the classes are over they are available in faculty rooms for doubt clearance. Quiz programs are also organised for better understanding.Exams are taken timely, before the final semester that occurs every six months there are four internal exams once every month the faculties provide good notes so the exams are not that tough to give doubts are cleared and extra classes before exams are organised to score better in the exam

Bassetti company offers internships to the students in our college. Students work as java developer or testers . The internship opportunities are really great for the students as they make the industry ready for their upcoming Future.

From 7th semester onwards the students become eligible for campus placement whereas few internships are also provided in 5th and 6th semesters.companies like wipro and Bassetti visit the campus for placement. Ece and CSE are best placed branches with approximately 80-90% students placed.The highest package offered in my branch was 4 lakhs and average was 3 lakhs. I am preparing to get into a good pair through gate exam after my degree.

Bright scholarships are offered by the college to meritorious students with good academic record I myself received this scholarship that helped me a lot. Swamy Vivekananda scholarship or aikya scholarship which are government scholarship , college helps a lot so that students can get it.The fee structure is also affordable it ranges from 3 -4 lakh depending upon the various scholarships applicable.college also helps the students to get financial assistance in the form of education loans that also helps students belonging to not so good economical classes. Students get placed in the fourth year . placement records are quite good in previous years.companies like wipro, Bassetti comes in the campus.stipend is different for different student depending upon the company and the designation but it is minimum 2 lakhs. cse and ece are the most placed branches around 80-90% students are placed from this branches.

This is the best part for any college student.campus life is the best in gmit. We have big ground with beautiful flower arrangements and suiting arrangements cultural fests as well as tech fest occurs annually in the month of March or april. Students can participate in different events according to their interest prizes are also given for sports events.college campus owns a good football field,gym, cricket ground that is for extra curricular activities auditorium is also present for music or dance practices.innovation club, cultural club are run by students. Library is also good with almost relevant books available ,airy and with good sitting arrangements. College magazine is also published where students can flourish their talents in form of writing, painting, and much more college canteen is the favourite place for all. We have two canteens in the campus which are really well organised with good and affordable food menu designed exactly according to the students interest.

Hostel rooms were good ,airy and spacious. 3 students were to share a room which is really okay for a big room. Separate wardrobes were provided for every student. There were 3 floors in the hostel in which 4 bathrooms were present in every floor. Bathrooms were very neat and clean .Food was given 4 times a day of good quality. Food for vegetarians as well as non-vegetarians was good according to their preference. The hostile care taker is really a good person who takes care of the students and their needs very well.
