I am really satisfied with the facilities that the college provides us

I came to know about this college through a pre-counseling seminar after WBJEE. Once I got information about the college I visited the campus and was really impressed after meeting the faculty members and visiting the workshop and campus. I got admitted to the college in June, 2019. I preferred this college because I loved the environment of the college campus and certainly the infrastructure. Moreover, the college overall has a good placement and has a ragging free campus. The college also arranges scholarship for the needy students.All these reasons made me choose this college over others.

I chose mechanical engineering because I am interested in this branch and want to explore more of it. The college faculty guides me well in doing that. The college follows the MAKAUT syllabus and also incorporates the students to explore recent developing areas of technology. The faculty is highly qualified and helpful. The term exams are taken timely according to MAKAUT timetable. The exams seems to be much easy to crack after being guided and taught by the able professors of our college.

From 7th semester onwards students can avail paid internship opportunities. In this year different companies like TCS, Capgemini, RS Software, Byju's, Lido Learning, ACC Cement, Star Cement, PS Group, Hind rectifiers, Regal Services, Manikaran, Patton, PS Group, Bassetti Group, PwC, Kone elevator, Krypton industries, Indus Net Technology recruited around 80% of the students as trainee. The students work on different projects like design production, warehouse management, etc. as a trainee.

The placement of our college has improved a lot recently. In current year around 75% students got placed and around 80% students got internship at different recruiting companies like TCS, Bassetti Group, ACC Cement, RSS Software, Byju's, Kone elevator, Krypton industries, PwC, PS Group, Hind rectifiers, Regal Services, Manikaran, Patton, Indus Net Technology, etc. The average package offered is around 1.8 lpa and the highest package offered this year is 10 Lpa. Students are eligible for campus placements from 7th semester onwards. I am planning to pursue Mtech after getting this degree.

The fees for studying mechanical engineering in our college including the scholarship is around ?2.75 lakhs. Hostel fees is not included in it. Including the hostel fees the total cost goes upto ?4.5 lacs. The students are provided with scholarship and financial assistance as per requirements. I availed SVMCM scholarship although there are lot many scholarships available for different categories. The college also makes sure that we land up with a job in the final year. In the last year around 75% students got placed in different recruiting companies like TCS, Bassetti Group, ACC Cement, etc.

Our campus life is very good and enjoyable. The campus of our college is green and has a scenic beauty. Apart from academics, many extracurricular activities take place at different time of the year. Tech fest, college fest, football tournament are held from time to time. The library of our college is an asset. It has got a really good collection. Our college provides us the benefits of practicing different sports in the campus. The classrooms are well built and airy. Apart from all these things, there are different clubs and websites like drama club, debate club, alumni club, etc. which are for the students and also run by the students of our college.
