If you don't have very good score in CAT to get into IIMs or other tier 1 B-school and you are keen to do MBA. Then IITTM can be a good option. It may not guarantee your placement but it will definitely prepare you for a bright future.
Entrance Preview
I scored 75 percentile in CAT and as the flagship colleges were beyond the scope with this score, I was looking for a college which offers good education and cost effective.During my research for B-schools, I found this college interesting as it was a government college, small batch size, and all faculty members were very experienced. However, due to sectoral (tourism and travel) MBA course I was a little confused. However, I decided to participate in the GD/PI, and I also got a chance to interact with faculty and some seniors. I came to know that they have different course for tourism and we will be offered core MBA course. Feedback from seniors was also impressive which further motivated me to join the college. In addition to this, due to low cost I believe this is one of the best college for students who has low CAT score.
Course Curriculum Overview
It was well designed with help of internal faculty, visiting faculties from IIMs, and industry. more focus was to include the merging aspects of business management and prepare the students as per industry demand.Students were also a major stakeholder of curriculum development as each students were interviewed to understand their future aspiration so that they can include maximum electives and can also invite relevant companies for placement.
Internships Opportunities
I got internship opportunity with Reckitt Benckiser in Indore market. I think the entire batch was offered stipend in range of 7,000 to 15,000. However, some students also got travel allowances and stay. Most of the internship was offered by companies located in NCR region. Around 15 students got opportunity with one of the real estate major based out of Bangalore.
Placement Experience
I graduated in 2009, recession year. So placement was not so good that year. However, my seniors got good placement across the industry and my juniors also got better job opportunities. As the institute doesn't come under top B-school, so salary is one of the major concerns. On an average, annual CTC lies between 2,00,000 to 4,50,000.

Fee Structure And Facilities
Very feasible with scholarship opportunity. This is one of the major advantage of studying in a government college. Institute has collaboration with several banks so students can get education loan easily.
Fees and Financial Aid
Institute has collaboration with several banks so students can get education loan easily. I got it from PNB, some of my friends got it from different banks.
Campus Life
Campus life was good. We had good lab which was open almost 24 hrs, and play ground for football and cricket. Students and teachers used to play together (which was real fun). We also had indoor games such as table tennis, chess, snooker.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel was very good, in fact after our batch institute has constructed new hostels and labs. Students can prefer among two bed sharing and three bed sharing rooms, single rooms are not available.
Alumni/Alumna
This is one of the areas where the institute needs to improve. we had started to develop a alumni portal but it couldn't take off. Recently we had alumni meet for Delhi chapter but will have to increase the frequency.
Exam Structure
It was very hectic as you don't get gap during exams and all module exams are having equal weight so almost every week you are having test for one or other subject.
Faculty
Well experienced and they used to focus on more practical aspect of teaching rather than theoretical. For important subjects or topics faculty from IIMs and industry were called so that we can have learning from subject matter experts.
