Remarks

I took admission in this college in 2019 for B.Tech(CSE) course. Admission is done through JEE and OJEE exams .OJEE is conducted during May -June. I gave OJEE exam because I didn't gave JEE mains. In Orissa one of my relative was studying , he told me about this college and I took admission here . I searched about this college in Google for other information.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose B.Tech in CSE in this college as I wanted .It's a four years course . Faculty members are quite good for academic study and other help also . Some faculties are so much good to help students while some faculties are just for their job not for students .About 2000 students including all year batch and 30-35 faculties are here both teaching and non teaching faculty. Qualified teachers are here like Ph.D ,M.Tech , MCA,MA ,etc Teaching method is good but all teachers are not same . In every semester there are 2 internal exams , exams are conducted in presence of teachers and it's easy to pass but only passing is not enough , you have to score about 90% marks of exam for a good image on teacher's eye.Semester exams are also conducted very hard , no cheating is possible here and if any student suspected for cheating then his exam may be cancelled and fine will be imposed too.

Internships Opportunities

0.5

Well I don't know much about internship , but it's compulsory for this university to get your degree , college provide internship in college or you can also do internship outside college .

Placement Experience

3.5

Now placement part , placement of our college is not so much good but not bad also . Many companies come here for selecting students and offers job , you have to prepare from starting to grab a job , academic performance plays a big roll in placement time , about 80-85 % students get place every year in every branch .Average package of 5lpa and highest package is 9lpa , but you have to pass few papers and interview process . If you are good in your field ( branch ), then you don't need to think about placement , it's quite easy to grab a job for average students .

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure very for all courses but as it is a private colleges so fees is high , fees of B.Tech course is about 75000/ year without hostel and canteen. Scholarships are also provided for reservation category students and there are lots of scholarships for Orissa students and SC/ ST students if legal documents are there than you don't need to submit any fees, scholarship is good enough .

Campus Life

3.5

Now it's the favourite part of a student , campus life .campus is beautiful as college gives more attention to its gardens and college buildings . Tech fests are organised in 2-3 months and every week there are so much programs in every field , annual function of college is celebrated once in every four year . Dance competition , singing competition , hackathon all these are available here . Library is not so large but a normal library for course related books and some journals where students study after class . Classroom is air conditioning and cleaned every day , serious study environment and enough space .sports activities are organised like cricket matches , vollyball , football . In sports day all sports activities are organised . College have their own student's club in which they participate and enjoy their college life .

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel facility is available for both girls and boys separately.one room having 3 beds , 3 chairs , 3 study tables having 1 bathroom. Electricity and water is available 24 hours. In hostel canteen meal is good , but if you think you want a five star hotel food then no college in this world can serve you food like that . Food is eatable and it's good we can't say it either best meal or worst. No registration is required , during admission they give a form includes hostel fees and that's it .outside hostel there are many PG where senior students stay , rent is just 2000-2500 but you have to prepare food own .

The placement opportunities at KIIT are quite good, especially for us the CSE students. The eligibility criteria for campus placements starts from 7th semester. Many well-known companies visit the university every year like TATA Consultancy Services , Infosys, Wipro, Accenture and Capgemini. The average package offered is around 6-8 lakhs and highest package offered around per yr avg is 50-60 lakhs. The percentage of students getting placements is around 90% plus in average per yr. After completing my degree, i plan to work in software industry and gain more experience in the field of technology

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.
