Remarks

The college is placed at Baruipur. This is an undeveloped area so I have to travel by train daily. Our college has a green campus and provides purified water for all. Admission process starts as all the colleges in MAKAUT, In this college, you can join by give joint examination or you can have a direct entry but then you have to pay extra fee of 3 lakh rupee. Our college has great teachers and good labs. Our college also provide good placement for all students.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose Computer Science of Engineering because I like to do coding and make apps, website. In our college computer science department, we have 7 teachers 5 are men and 2 are women. In every department, we have 60 student Our teachers completed M.tech and they teach us in Bengali generally. In every semester we have to give 4 exams for college and one final exam for university.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 90000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Yes, our college offer internships but due to lockdown, we have not got any internship right now. They give internship in varies companies and get you to certificate for that.

Placement Experience

From 7th semester you eligible for campus placements. Currently, no companies are coming to our college due to lockdown highest package by our college 8 lakh/annum and lowest 2 lakh/annum. Approximately 80% of student get placed After getting the degree get a good job in level 5 company like TCS, Cognizant.

Fees and Financial Aid

Here we give around 50000 rupees in every semester total we give around 3 lakh and 80 thousand rupees in 4 years. This is a private college so they did not reduce if you have any problem. If you are late to give semester fee then they charge you a fine amount at the time of final examination. I did not get any scholarship personally but there is a scholarship available in the college.

Campus Life

Every year we organized a tech-fest in our college named GEMITZ in a feb-mar month. In our college also organise a football game every year. Books are available in the college library and you can take books along with you.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Our college campus is fully green campus. All teachers and faculty members are highly qualified and very helpful. All the classrooms are well groomed. Library is very good. All types of books are available in our library. Semester fees is comfortable for all types of students. Admission process is very easy. All types of scholarship are available for all students. Laboratories are decorated by updated instruments. Gym is available in our college. Playground is very clean.
